Road to Arcadia - a space for libertines | İlgi Alanları

We know our dream is maybe too big to be realised, but we also believe in friendship so this can be a space where people meet and talk about their dreams forgetting the whole world outside for a moment. Poets, writers, artists which lives are inspired by the Libs are very welcome.
If you want you can send us (by mail or pm) your artworks about this big dream we share together - Albion and the whole Arcadian Dream - and we'll post them below here. We also like to hear your thoughts about your own personal Albion, where did you find it or what it means to you.
For any other type of Libs works, please contact Art 4 Arkady (see top friends).

Bound Together - Anthony Thornton
Upstairs at the Boogaloo Bar 'reunion' as Peter strummed though 'Time For Heroes', with a broad smile and twinkling eyes, he changed the lines for his former bandmates benefit, 'There are fewer more distressing sights than that/Of an Englishman in a baseball cap', to 'There are fewer more distressing sights than that/Of Mr Carl Barat'. THERE SEEMED TO BE AN INTENSITY THAT FIZZED AS THEY SANG AND HELD EYE CONTACT.

Hakkımda:
Hello world. We are Fra and Louise, two girls with a big dream.
WE WANT THE LIBS BACK.
We both love Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things (still) and Yeti so much and they will always have our support, as each one of our four boys, but in these months we've met lots of people that told us the same: how it would be great if they come back together. Well, we are here for you all. It's not a claim, they will do exactly what they'll want, this is only a little page to let them - and the world - know how much they were important to us. To take part in our little 'pacific petition', simply add us as a friend :)
You've taught us, by music and songs, about your Arcadian Dream and we've always believed in it. It changed our lives and is still radicated in our souls, maybe more than ever. Teach us again about it, teach us to live our dreams like you did.

"Albion is our vessel, Arcadia is our destination, and our starting point. One needn't have a classical education or a british passport; only imagination. Let it be what your heart desires, but let not your actions or desires infringe upon the liberty of others."
"You know – Arcadia? The realm of the infinity? It's a poet's corner. This is the code by which we live our lives. This is the pact we've sworn all those years ago that turned us all from enemies into companions and wayfarers and travellers on the seas of Albion. It's not a cult or a religion – it's an awareness of your surroundings; you're not gonna force yourself on anyone and, equally, no-one's gonna force themselves on you. And it's about community and pleasure. It came from a whisper through the trees. It came from a crack in the pavement. It can also come when you open a bag of crisps, or when you kick a football against a goalpost. Even if I was winding you up, it would still be true, because Arcadia and the Arcadian Dream is so deep, is so true to our hearts... There have been Arcadian gatherings over the years, but I think the best is yet to come. It can be as powerful as your imagination can allow it to be. But, it can also be as dark and twisted as your soul... Arcadia encompasses the infinite, and that's why it comforts me."
These are your words. This is the dream we still believe in and we'll try to carry it on.

ADORABILE!!!!
a quanto pare i nostri eroi si riuniranno neL 2010! e l'incognita è sempre Carl.... a proposito...sei andata a vedere uno dei suoi concerti in Italia? Io sono andata a Milano..... semplicem FANTASTICO!!
It's the very first episode of INTERGALACTIC and it's the first thing me and Morgan have ever acted in. It's a work in progress. I learn as I go. It's a great start though. We had a lot of fun and will be putting more stuff out soon. Maybe next time we'll have a script.
I fucking find it HILARIOUS!!!! I'm so proud of how bad it sucks. I hate introductions... I can't just start killing people. Maybe next time... maybe next time.
I absolutely completely LOVE this idea. I feel exactly the same as you girls and I am into most of the music and literature I'm into now because of the Libertines. They have inspired me so much and no matter what has happened with them, I still admire them. They have fueled me even moreso than before to be a writer :)
NME Radio played Don't Look Back Into The Sun for me this afternoon! :) Course, I asked for What A Waster, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! x
