Brinley Addington is a country artist from Kingsport Tennessee whose love of country music began as a 3 year old after a family trip to Nashville to see the Grand Ole Opry. At age 12, Brinley began singing at Church where he realized God's plan for his life: making music. Brinley has been recording since age 13 and has recorded both Country and Christian music projects while still in high school. In the summer of 2008, Brinley released his first music video for the song “Why I Never Will.” Brinley's recent performances include the Bluebird Cafe, Nashville's Exit/In, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Kingsport's Twilight Alive Concert Series, Johnson City' Pepsi Independence Day Fireworks Celebration, Clinch Mountain Music Fest, Fun Fest Mardi Gras, The Crazy 8's Road Race, New York's Tavern on the Green, and Fun Fest's Friday Night Live Concert. Brinley has had the opportunity to open shows for several artists including Jack Ingram, Marty Stuart, John Michael Montgomery, Gavin DeGraw, Relient K, John Cowan, Saving Jane and has had the honor of performing as a featured soloist with such groups as the Dobyns- Bennett Marching Band, Impact Show Choir, and the Symphony of the Mountains. Brinley is currently developing his performing and songwriting skills in Nashville as he strives to write and record real country music that people everywhere can relate to.

More on your question "Where are the great songs and great singers?" I have observed that the industry runs in cycles. When the money and management controls the industry, the music gets generic. Then, in reaction to the stagnant and uninspiring music, the public finds a new place to satisfy their demand and it becomes artist driven again for a few years. The money and management interests slowly play their hands and take over the new market, and the music "dies" again. It'll be back. And it's probable that it's "darkest just before the dawn." In history, COMPLETE control tends to occur right before loss of control.
