CHICAGO, THE YEAR WAS 1993 AND I WAS DISCOVERING A DANCE MUSIC CALLED "HOUSE"
The days of the Euro rave scene from back home was dead to me. And the general dance groove nation of trance and drum'n'bass was so in the past.
This was not only the HOUSE that jack built but every other beat pioneer in Chicago was writing a whole new breed of history whether they knew it or not.the like's of ,well I won't name names but a lot came out of a little Westside loft ,on western and north,in wicker park..
from then on every club, every house party and after hours
was a fresh taste of whatever the new track was that week
and the people loved it. Behold forever more, HouSe Music.
Another RUNNING AFFAIR,I have always had a close connection to the whole '90 rock/grunge/raw rock revolution,
A week after I graduated Highschool in Chicago I moved to Portland OR. that was in 1995
and it was My first time living away from home With my parent permission
Nirvana,soundgarden,NIN,toadies,butt hole surferd,bush,TOOL,alice in chains,RAGE,pj harvy,STP,eddie vetter the guys crammed the same air-waves as jane addiction and the chilli peppers did before them
sometimes you could catch me listening to portishead/tricky/snicker pimps
I also felt the beginning of the seattle movement from the root that where laid down by
other groups such as nineINCHNaills,pigface,thrill kill kult,KMFDM,
yes I am aware that the grunge thing happen at the same time as the industral upraul.
I just felt it from all directions
