Influences
bill & ted, the world around us, injustice, sonic youth, 3/19, orchid, JS bach, beethoven, mozart, peace, medieval times, punk rock, classical music, synergy, the venus transit, cat stevens, the melvins, providence, tool, that feeling in your gut when you know something is wrong with the way things work, here to kill you, nirvana, armagedeon, protests, tidal waves, the north star for guidance, patriotism (we don't mean waving your flag around) 3am quiet time, politics or lack of... art , revolution, and noise...compose compromise and compost...
Sounds Like
if beethoven and mozart were plugged in together, and had animal from the muppets to put out some sick drum beats on barney rubbles favorite bowling lane... it also sounds like when you put dick cheney's middle finger through a blender mixed with fresh squeezed pirate hearts, add a dab of minced providence rats and cauliflower, diced with karl roves lying mouth,in a brewed stew of revolution. and BLAM, you've got Brio. not that we have done that or anything...
or it sounds like whatever is in your head right now...
Kinda like when your trying to fall asleep at night but can't because your head is racing and then your head goes into autopilot because its overflowing with a pressured epidemic trian of thought that creates its own little buzzing noise when you listen to music too loud in the back of your crowded brain that consists of an estimated 100,000,000,000 nerve cells (neurons) which accounts to about 5-10 percent of all nerve cells in your body. We try to tap into that... its all about science really.
We are instrumental aggressive, melodic, and open minded.
we'll settle for that...
brio (jeff, dave, and aaron) have been playing together for three years. jeff and aaron were in a noise band together called "here to kill you" for about two years. aaron left the band october of 2003, and soon afterwards got together with dave, and made somenoise, fast and loud.... after writing a few songs jeff was invited and quickly contributed to a new distict sound, thats been titled as instrumental aggressive. we like melody, we like buildups, and we like to create art... a lot of the brio songs are written with themes in mind, but you should decide what the songs are all about to you... the crowd is part of what we do , and what we want to accomplish..so we thank you for your interest.... music is art , art is our venting system...the reason there are no vocals, is because we feel once vocals are added to a song, the meaning is cemented, which in our mind, is not the point...just bare with us and everything will be ok...We are currently working with a talented viola player named Teri for melody and fun, as well as some violin from dylan, and a bit of piano from Dan. Brio is what you contribute to something, whether it be art, a debate, or a writting piece, etc... its yours...revolution is everyone's job, we start here.
Mothafukkazzz! Miss hearin ya'll play. its been way too long! Hearin these songs makes me want to get back into a band too Haha GOD I love this Shiiiiitttt~
