   Bristol Zombie Walk's Blurbs
About me:
SATURDAY OCTOBER 27th 2007 saw the first Bristol Zombie Walk... it was a great success and everyone had loads of fun! There are photos available on the Nathan Hicks Photography Myspace page which can be found in our Top Friends.

OK... I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to give you some more information so here it is...

Bristol Zombie Walk will be starting at 3.30pm.. I'd suggest getting there a little before then, so we can gather a good number before spilling out onto the streets!

The start point for this year's walk has moved to the car park behind Council Buildings, on the corner of Frog Lane and Frogmore Street... from there the route will go:

College Green...
Passed the Bristol Marriott Royal...
The Centre (by the fountains)...
Across Baldwin Street and up Corn Street...
Wine Street...
Union Street / The Galleries...
Broadmead...
Left at the centre of Broadmead, towards Debenhams...
Left along Horsefair...
Around the outside of ex-House of Fraser...
The Bearpit (St James Barton Roundabout Subway)...
Stokes Croft...
Gloucester Road...
Ending at the top of the hill at...
The Golden Lion pub!

We're expecting to hit the Golden Lion around 5.30pm and will be having a few DJs to play you some monster party tunes...

5.30-6.45 - Ned Kelly (Duvet Vous?)
6.45-8.00 - Andy Payback HiFi

9.15-10.30 - Powercut (Funk From The Trunk, Byte)

10.30 Los Mercenarios will be playing, though not technically part of the afterparty this is a free gig and should be good fun :-)

The Afterparty is FREE!!

However, this is only a pub, so please be aware that if the Walk is as successful as we hope there may not be room for everyone at the Afterparty! There are, of course, lots of other pubs in close walking distance on Gloucester Road!

You may also notice that the route doesn't go through Cabot Circus... this is intentional. After last months Walk, it is clear that we would attract a lot more Police interest if we took a rabble of a few hundred Zombies parading through Cabot Circus without first informing anyone!

Anyone who came along last year will know what amazing fun it was! I knew there would be more interest this year, but I have been shocked by how much to be honest!!

I have to ask that there are a few simple things to think about...

If a living person clearly doesn't want to be involved... please leave them alone... we don't to be giving people heart attacks... or children nightmares!

Please try not to block the roads... this may be easier said than done depending on how many people turn up however, we are much likely to be able to get on with it (and do one again next year) if we attempt not piss the Police off as much as possible! Use tbe crossings where you can ;-)

Generally just having fun and not trying to piss people off I suppose it what's all about!

OK... rules over!

Mes: Love toms programming track and the Damien's remix....whooot!Nice wun fellas! Your on a roll:)

Andy Toka Project/Inland Knights: yeah really cool!.....loving sun city hustlers track...and programming is wicked......definately gonna get plays from me

Giom: Loving the original mix and also Tom's new original tune, programming! Paaaaaaarty!

Gav Littlemen: Love the original and Programming

Ben (Brown/Unpopular) i like all the tracks. my favourites of real thang are the original and toms mix - especially like the rudebwoy b-line and old style beats of the TSI mix.my favourite of the whole release is programming - i think mostly cos of the samples and the way they are arranged. its good fun.

Mike (Kolour): sch's original broke new ground for these guy's sound. it has a nice disco vibe that works really well in the mix. i've been playing it since john sent it moons ago. the mastering on it came out perfect too. really brings the tune to life.damien's remix features more of the vocal and that's never a bad thing as far as i'm concerned. he churned out yet another remix where he takes the original tune and makes it his own. this is definitely something i'll play
tom's remix is definitely a departure from the other two versions. he adds a level of filth to it that contrasts the dynamic of the EP just enough to give it that 'something for everyone' feel.

Quell: I LOVED Damien's old/new school remix and the original version of that track and i really like Toms 'programming' track.

Strakes (Lost My Dog): Original mix of Real Thang is sounding good – r

Wild West Burlesque

PROUDLY PRESENT
The Tiki Lounge

At The Warehouse 57 Prince Street Bristol BS1 4QH

Dear WWB Members,

Calling all islanders, witch doctors, explorers, missionaries, angry cannibals, head hunters, hula-hula girls, surf chasers, cocktail lovers and lounge lizards.

We are ending our season at the Warehouse club as we began it with the big stars of burlesque, Presented by London’s one and only Red Princes of burlesque, the acid tongued and superbly witty Miss Ivy Paige.

Staring Canada’s number one burlesque star, the mischievous and highly unpredictable Trixie Malicious with her brilliant, hilarious, brand new Tiki show. We have decorated the club especially in her honour and turned it into a Tiki Lounge. Trixie has brought along her own volcano which promises to bring the show to an explosive climax!

With exciting new performances from the fabulous Venus Noir and the outrageous Mitzy Bear plus an all new cast from the winners of the West Country’s newcomers show.

The Fabulously Freaky appears as Baron Semedi and will perform a gruesome magic show.

Nero Bonaparte will bring a touch of swing to the event with lounge core and easy listening classics followed by the Butter Side Up DJ’s who will rip up the party until closing with floor stomping funk.

We hope to see you all at this evening of high excitement, wicked cabaret and unbridled glamour not to be missed, our best to date! As we said this is our last show of the season so come along and make it a party, we will be doing monthly events at festivals and parties over the summer so watch this space for news.

Tickets in advance just £8 available from www. bristolticketshop. co. uk + booking fee or pop in to their shop in the Galleries, Bristol. Also available at our website without booking fee or at Prime Cuts on Gloucester Road, Bristol + BF.

We hope you have the night of your life, www. wildwestburlesque. co. uk
