"Sometimes we want a songwriter who will reach into our guts and pull out the butterflies like Brit Boras." The Deli Magazine
'This smorgasboard-esque style flourishes within an ethereal encasement, almost as if we’re off in the woods and just happen to encounter a sprite who will spirit us away, no question. We just have no idea as to whether she’ll remain a faerie-queen or if she’ll morph into a hecubus during the process. Exploring the light and the dark side of emotion - love, exhilaration, self-exploration - and ties it to a format that holds the illusion of being free from structure.' Beat Crave
"Sounds as eccentric as Tori Amos with fuller vocals." Rockland Magazine
"Woozy blend of psychedelic and altcountry led by rootsy chanteuse." CMJ Music Festival 09
"Brit has a very big voice for such a petite girl; it takes you by surprise." The Big Red Apple
'Fans of Jenny Lewis should check out Brit Boras’ spellbinding alt-country infused with psychedelic swirls. Boras commanded the crowd with her robust vocals and guitar and violin skills.' The Deli Magazine
Wait, but who is Brit & the Cavalry?
Brit Boras grew up teeter - tottering between the state lines of both New York and New Jersey. Her mother, a classical cellist, encouraged her to learn the violin at age five. Her late father, a jazz musician and composer, taught her a whole other side to the musical world.
She now sings and plays both violin and guitar in her brooklyn - based project titled "Brit & the Cavalry" whom all of which she met through music school at NYU
After completing their first EP titled "Chapter One," which is currently available on iTunes, Brit & the Cavalry are now in the process of performing, and recording the next album.
