The Brixton Hillbillies are an inner city London based rock blues band that has been working hard since 2005. From the most infamous pubs of the “Black Pudding” circuit to some of the most prestigious venues in London and internationally acclaimed Blues Festivals. Ej, Willy and Fabrizio have been around the London musical scene for many years and they decided to create an unique style from the roots of blues passing through country , funk and the energy of the ’70 rock and the Celtic jigs and reels.
An imminent release of the album is due this year, a product of their musical maturity of a very high standard but without loosing the rawness of the roots music. The lyrics are a collection of street tales, hillbilly folklore, love, misery, and the desire to go back to homeland Ireland.

One of my fantasy businesses would be to francise the redneck swimming pools over in the UK in the summertime. We could drive the redneck pools around and set-up by where a crop circle had appeared and where the tourists visiting and walking circles all day long could treat themselves to a nice cool dip at the end of the day. Perhaps we could have an ice chest filled with bottles of lagers and bitters. Now that would be the life......wouldn't it boys.
I am so delighted that I have cousins over in the UK. If you ever find yourself in Arkansas, there's plenty of hillbilies all over the place. I've lived in the UK twice and loved it over there.

Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st.
I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong.
He is a character.
Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.
If you want to see Tommy in action....check out my blog. There is a video from last week in Nashville from the studio.
Take care, the music is sounding great, and i hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Kevin Montgomery
