I have only come to know you since your passing and threw the friendship you had with my husband. Something changed in me when you passed because it made it all seem so real. Knowing I stood with you family while they waited for you as I waited for my soldier too on R&R and then realizing you guys were from the same unit and it was just random luck we meet in the airport and never forgetting those words your Dad said to me as we waited .. Wow ... your from the same unit so that means we are kinda like family !!! Family is right !! You and your family will forever have a place in our hearts. You are missed Brownie .. and every day we are reminded of you .. we have a poster at the bottom of our stair way with you picture in it and some other stuff for you. But then the day you walked down the same terminal with my hubby an I was waiting there with you family also in the Portland airport there was this connection to you an your family knowing another Oregon soldier was in the unit..Since your passing I have got close to your family they are wonderful ppl an I wish I could have got close to you also.
