The members of The Emergency Broadcast System are industry veterans who have combined their cumulative professional experience into a live band whose signature energetic performances are marked by a confident and unabashed sense of fun.
The bands individual accomplishments have seen them share stage and recording studio with artists such as Babyface, David Lee Roth and P-Funks Bernie Worrell, to name a few. They have performed music that has appeared on major network television shows, like HBOs The Sopranos and have been honored, in respective projects, by The Boston Music Awards, The Phoenix Best Music Poll and The Billboard Songwriters Contest.
Since forming The Emergency Broadcast System in 2005, the band has built a strong reputation throughout clubs in New England for being unlike any other cover band that has come before them. The band’s philosophy is rooted in the appreciation of modern listener tastes, understanding they are more diverse and complex than ever before. In response to this trend, the band constructed a widely varied song selection of music from the 60’s through today, from classic rock to modern pop, from soul to modern dance music. EBS power through sets like an “iPod set to random”, keeping the audience on their toes and engaged throughout the entire night.
"The Emergency Broadcast System was great to work with and put on one hell of a show. EBS was everything we were looking for in a party band and more! They were true performers at our event and rocked about 500 college students all night. At 1:30am the crowd was still yelling for more! I’d highly recommend EBS to anyone looking for a band that can play all the hits, and perform each song like rock stars." - ADAM GERINGER-DUNN, TALENT BUYER, COLBY COLLEGE, MAINE
"Boston's Best Cover Band!" PHOENIX HOUSE AND WELL, Sunday River, ME
"The Emergency Broadcast System is NOT like other cover bands. You perform like REAL rock stars. No other band in here has kept the audience as long as you have!" - THE WOBBLY BARN, Killington, VT
"Boston Party Makers have worked with EBS on several occasions and they are always extremely Professional and willing to work with us to make sure all the little things happen in the best way possible. They are dependable, Courteous and always do their best to make our clients feel as comfortable as possible. They are the only entertainers to have ever been given a "6" on one of our rating cards as they only go up to 5! Also, and this helps......THEY TOTALLY RAWK!!" - Mark Bloomstein, BOSTON PARTY MAKERS
"Munk and the guys were great! They were very easy to work with and put on a great show. Thank you for recommending them, I will be sure to do the same in the future!" - Meagan Fitzgerald, BIG NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
