Finally, our area has a true, real blues club..Located on the historic corner of Broad St. and Dillingham, in Phenix City, Al. just a few yards from the Chatahoochee River, the riverwalk, amphitheater and Downtown Columbus Ga. is a club that has coined the phrase "The Thrill is Here". Owner Roy Zito has pulled out all the stops to put Broad Street Blues on the Blues Map as a must visit southeast venue.. A southern style restaurant, a 20 ft heart pine bar, every square inch of wall space displays a collection of fine art, advertising, guitars and music memorabilia, antiques and vintage collectibles. 7 antique showcases hold the unusual and hard to find. 20 guitars on the walls. 3 plasma screens play your favorite blues artists in concert. Truly you will see something different everytime you visit, there is just to much to see.
The stage is 21 x 12, carpeted with back line and drum risers, and real persian rugs top it off. The P.A. flies 4 Mackie S408 (4x8’s+horn) above the stage and 18" subs with 15" mains on each side. 2 racks of power and effects and an Mackie 32-8 board. House lights illuminate a musicians friendly stage and is visible from every seat in the room. The room has a capacity of 99, cozy and intimate but not cramped. Roy, I had such a GREAT time at Broad Stree Blues Friday night. You have a wonderful club. Your club is so nice - it should be packed every weekend. Everyone in the Southeast needs to visit Broad Street Blues. The music was awesome Friday night. You are really something else on that organ & harmonica. Get down !! Wish I was there tonight. I know you guys are really putting the bluesy grooves on the people.
