About BrockleyMAX

Brockley Max is an annual festival held in the lovely Brockley, South East London. For nine glorious days various venues and out door spaces are handed over to artists of all genres. With music, dance, exhibitions, workshops and much much more the festival promises, and all ways delivers, to be fun for everyone whether they be 9 or 99. BRIAN FOLEY BAND	Jun 11 2007 3:48 PM Well done Brockley Max! What I saw of the events were well attended and well good, especially the last day in Hilly Fields. Great atmosphere, chav-free and just what Brockley needs. Loved the 30's D.J. and jitterbuggers in particular...jitterBUGGERS!!!(that sounds a bit wrong!)but they enjoyed themselves and I LOVED watching.I like to watch.... ...ahem.Back to the festival. Luckily for the Saturday the sun shone, the Budvar flowed, the music played, the buggers jittered,the kids frolicked, the Green Man made the babies cry, faces were painted and the dogs panted. In short, we all had mellow afternoon and the firework finale at sun down was truly a blast! I was expecting a few bangers,a Catherine Wheel and a couple of rockets but it was dynamite(well it sounded like dynamite).Whoever the fire starter was-Frank?- nice one!Mind you you probably were responsible for many a dog related heart attack... As for the after festival party...what can I say.Whickham road, wicked house and garden with a magical veranda lit with giant church candles and chinese lanterns(where me and mine x spent most of the night lying on the sofas) tree house, bonfire, love swing,table tennis and live music from Flaky, Colin n co... ...the conversation flowed like wine as did the wine(all over my trousers and foot!)and we did have THE FUN!Still recovering after a 6am bedtime... Moira, Moonbows lovlies,and all responsible for the festival well done!!! Looking forward to next year which I intend to play with me band. Missed out this year but I'll be back,back,back,back xxx
The Postcards	Jun 5 2007 9:25 PM Hello! The festival climaxes this Saturday with a free gig on Hilly Fields in Brockley. There will be live music and entertainment all afternoon and into the early evening, with an open air stage, an acoustic tent and bar.
