Books
Mainly politics and current event, though I am trying to work a little more fiction into my diet. My two favourite authors are Neil Gaiman and Nick Hornby. Best book of all time: "There's a Monster at the End of This Book."
I'd like to start writing again, but my muse ran off years ago. I thought that maybe by connecting with other writers, she would find her way back to me.
About me: Waking up in a Weapon X chemical tube, the man who calls himself Rev. John had no memories of his life. In confusion and rage, he escaped in a wake of destruction. Professor X recruited him to join a new team of X-Men and he reluctantly agreed. Over the following year, Rev. John was revealed to be a mutant whose skeleton had been laced with the unbreakable metal alloy called adamantium. Initially misanthropic and a loner, Rev. John often clashed with the X-Men's leader Cyclops as a result of his cfrush on Jean Grey. Given to berserker rages in combat, he slowly learned how to control his feral instincts. However, Rev. John is the X-Man most likely to permanently deal with adversaries who dispense lethal force. Despite his quick temperament, he has been described as a warrior poet with an iron will. He is currently a member of both the X.S.E. and New Avengers. At the conclusion of the "House of M" event, Rev. John regained all his memories, sending the world's governments into panic because of the secrets he now holds. Rev. John's most consistent foe is Mark Radulich, another product of Weapon X.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who has anything interesting to say or share. Sharing is caring. The Care Bears shared. They stared too. They'd shoot pictures out of their stomach and then pass out. I always thought that was funny back when I was ten. Now I prefer a more sophisticated sense of humour, like snapping on your moms.
Anyway, I'd like to meet anyone who has anything interesting to say.
If that one still gets done that's not going to happen for awhile. I want to get my orchids and two news ones that I'm not talking about till I get them ha ha ha (too many people steal my ideas =P )
I'm participating in the Out of the Darkness Walk on Sept. 6, 2008 to raise funds for the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention). Half of all the proceeds will go to Pathways (our local Community Mental Health Clinic) and 50% will go to the AFSP. My personal fundraising page can be found here: Rebecca DeWitt's AFSP Fundraising Page.
Thanks in advance for visting my page and considering a donation! Every little bit will help!!
