Brodii Split has been playing together since 1997 ...13 years! How many unsigned bands can say that! Starting out in high school under the name Easy Access, Joe and Kenny teamed up with friend Ray Brady. Easy Access had some early success winning the Showcase Theater battle of the bands, playing live on KUCI, and opening shows for members of Homegrown (Geffen©). In 1999, Ray decided to leave the band to pursue other musical endeavors, which included playing, producing, and music directing for Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Jessica Simpson, Ashlee Simpson and others. Never thinking of quitting, Kenny and Joe formed Brodii Split, the name coming from Ray "brodii" Brady leaving the group. Since 2000, the bands lineup has remained with Dan King on bass, Joe Brodii on Guitar/Voc, and Kenny Dena on Drums. Brodii Split has released two albums on their own World Records©, 2003's "Every Thing I Hate" and 2006's "A Brand New Flag." The band is currently working on new material for a 2010 release. Playing clubs all around Orange County, LA, and the IE including the House of Blues, Whisky, Roxy, Viper Room, Galaxy theater, Coach House, and Chain Reaction, Brodii Split has worked long and hard to develop a loyal following. In 2003, Brodii Split toured the Northwest in support of "ETIH" playing shows in Nor Cal, Montana, and Vegas. In 2004, they won Frosty, Heidi, and Frank's "Should I Stay or Should I Go" live on 97.1fm. Since 2004, Brodii Split has also been performing and killing it as a Sublime tribute band at local downtown Fullerton hot spot "The BackAlley" with special guest Katrina Darrell "Bikini Girl" of American Idol fame. Currently, Brodii Split has mashed up with J-King and Low-Life Music bringing an exciting new Hip-Hop / Punk Rock sound to venues all around SoCal.
