Broke DJs are a London based duo bringing you the freshest in Dubstep, Hip-Hop and Electro. Joining forces in 2005, Logan & Jim quickly made their place in the scene with their energetic sets and their exports from the studio. They bring a unique blend of homemade bootlegs and technical mixing to create an unrivalled energy in a club which is guaranteed to blow the roof off and tear the house down. Expect a melting pot of high energy beats and teeth rattling basslines.
They have in the past shared a stage with the likes of Rusko, Skream, Benga, Caspa, Mary Ann Hobbs, DJ Zinc, Man Like Me, Dynamite MC, G Dub, Bizzy B, The Breakfastaz, AC Slater, Aquasky and many many more.
Broke DJs hold residencies at the biggest nights the south coast has to offer including the now legendary We Are Your Friends & Beat Redemption, while also pushing their own monthly club night “Basslime”, which has played host to Stenchman and Phaeleh amoungst others.
November 2009 see’s the 12” release of the Broke DJs 3 track EP entitled ‘Jaan’ on Awkward Movements and also their signing to major label, Stanton Warriors’ ‘Punks’ for their remix of the Stanton’s classic ‘Still Here’ featuring Eska.
Generosity is something the Broke DJs hold close to their hearts and give out free music on a weekly basis, including remixes of Foamo, Jay-Z, Nero, Lady Sovereign, Audio Bullys & a remix of Basement Jaxx - Oh My Gosh which reached no.20 in the Hype Machine chart, overtaking tracks by 16 Bit, Royksopp and Thom Yorke.
March 2010 brings about Broke DJ’s first U.S Tour, kicking of with the WMC conference and beyond plus many bookings across the UK and Europe and a whole host of new tracks bursting out of the studio ready to unleash upon the public. This follows on from their recent addition to the US Household Management line-up, placing them alongside the likes of Virus Syndicate, Vent, Napt, Drumattic Twins, B.Rich and plenty more.
Broke DJs show no signs of slowing, with an evolving style and real sense for the scene they populate, they are a heavyweight addition to any line-up and their tracks will leave you wanting more and more until the lights go up and your turfed out into the street!
