We started out in 2005 when roommates Steve and Dave decided to be in a band together were steve would sing hardcore and dave punk. However steve's chronic sore throat (mono related) cut the screaming out entirely. When summer began the band had to be assembled. The first recruit was Brendan with his sweet guitar skills. He was kind of a shoe in because of his love for milk and cereal--eaten seperate. Shortly after came veteran drummer Ryan Kolegas who out skilled each other band by a 3 to 1 ratio. He was in based on the math alone but he also has a harmonica which is undeniable. Steve had taken piano lessons as a child and agreed to play keyboard. Then one day Brendan said, "Something is missing in our band but i just don't know what. It's like we need one more guitar but this one should be different. Hmm perhaps Bigger and slightly (less) strings (B.A.S.S.) and so the bass was invented." Jeff was the obvious choice to play this new instrument because of his golden curls and his willingness to try new things. With the 4 talented musicians and singer davey j (who can't even sing while playing guitar, but can walk 51 miles if needed) the band was finally ready.
and so the era of Broken Hero has begun. A time in which kindness will be rewarded with shows, and music that will lull listeners to a state of utter completion. Superman is not needed anymore, because the lion and the mouse will be here july 2006.
