Just a short note to let y'all know that Broken Hills is no longer. Tea cups were lined up, brows were furrowed, we discussed, we decided and then we talked about gardening and films. No hard feelings.
The short of it: things weren't as fun as they used to be.
The long of it: songs weren't falling as near to the tree as they once did -- after a fecund month or two of initial songwriting, things withered; we lost momentum at some point and, despite frantic pedalling by all of us at different points, we couldn't seem to regain it; we're good friends and we want to stay that way; we like our non-band friends too much to inflict half-hearted performances upon them.
The practical of it: Camille will be playing our two remaining shows in solo mode.
That's it. Thanks for the people who came. Thanks for the ones who intended to come -- it's the thought that counts. Thanks to the bands we've played with. Thanks, especially, to all the metal bands who asked to be our MySpace friends.

I finally commit to seeing Broken Hills -- and this happens. NOW WHAT DO I DO? Is Deloris playing any time soon? There is a void in duty to be filled here...
broken up? BUT WHY??? you make beautiful, beautiful music. This saddens me greatly. At least we will get to see you one time in some form.. and so I am still very much looking forward to Friday.
