Bio
We started this disaster back in 2001 with the dissolve of Life's Halt. .... Charlie had some songs written and presented them to Todd and Ryan. Rehearsing with Eric Butterworth on drums and Jon Westbrook (of Life's Halt, Knife Fight fame) on 2nd guitar, we put together about 6 songs. Then we picked up Gearbox on drums (formerly of Total Chaos). He was a sure fit. In late 2002/ early 2003 we played our first couple of shows. During this time, we recorded an 8 song demo for an upcoming 7'' on Lengua Armada records. Our first show was at a bar near Cal State Fullerton. Then we lost Jon, only to pick up Jeff Capra (MANU MIDGET!) of Holier Than Thou, Up Hill Battle, and so many other bands you wouldn't even believe it. Now the lineup was solidified. We continued to play out, some shows at the Smell, Santa Ana Cultural Center, Showcase Theatre, the Prospector and more. We then recorded again with Nick Jett at Blood Tracks. This time, we laid down 11 songs for a 12" ep. Soon after unfortunately Ryan (bassist) had to make a move to Seattle. When things were looking grim we were blessed to have the multi talented Ben Edge (formerly of Fields of Fire, currently also in Bad Reaction) join up and agree to playing bass (even though he is a ripping guitarist). He filled in on our first out of town show in Santa Cruz without even getting to practice with us and kicked ass. So Ben became our new bassist. .... All that was left was to do vocals on our 12". But TERROR blew the fuck up and proceeded to tour almost continuously for a YEAR AND A HALF. Nick couldn't meet us up to finish the recording as he was touring playing drums in TERROR. We couldn't even get the reels from the studio in Jet's garage for that year and a half but kept gigging. Once Nick got a break we met up and got the reels of our long delayed release. After another 6 months of techincal difficulties, added expense, and annoyance we FINALLY finished the thing. The 12" is on Lengua Armada Records. Our record was release March 18th of last year..... In more recent developements, we were not doing much as of March of last year. Chuck was really busy with work and raising a child as a single parent, he had to step out of the band. Jeff took the lead on guitar and we got hungry to do more. More and gnarlier shows. We wanted to write new songs. But Gearbox was constantly busy with work, touring with his other bands. He has a lot of obligations and has to pay his bills. We played a few shows with Nick Townshend filling in on drums and he fucking kicked ass. He is a protege drum destroyer that started drumming in Dr. Know when we was 16 and is currently beating the skins for Bad Reaction and plays lead guitar in his band Citiziens On Patrol. He agreed to fill in for Gearbox. Eventually it became clear that Gearbox was unable to play many shows with us. We love him, we'd miss him, he created our sound, but we had to progress. So Nick Townshed has since become our newest brother in arms. With Jeff now on lead and me (singer) the only original member we needed someone to step in on rhythm guitar pronto. Jon Westbrook of KNIFE FIGHT/CONSTANT FEAR/LIFE'S HAULT/NO REPLY fame was our original rythm guitarist and agreed to fill in a couple shows when he wasn't filling in for Never Healed. Next thing you know Jon was down to be a permantenet member and our lineup got really solid, stable, and TIGHT!.... It almost felt like a new band, yet we had the backbone of the original line up. We started playing more regularly, actually practicing occasionally. Then in January of 2008, something REALLY incredible happened: WE WROTE NEW SONGS. We recorded them in Ventura, and already sent one to a compilation 7" soon to be out on Stress Domain Records. I'm still finishing writing lyrics for the other 5 originals (as of January 16th) and they will done and out soon. Wait till you hear them. I think some are possibly the best songs we've produced to date. We'll see what you all think when you hear them...So that brings us back to today...We will STILL play almost anywhere, with anyone that is a real punk band. .... Thanks for your support. To show it GET IT IN THE PIT! .... -
