About me: I am a 53 year old man who has the mind of a 5 year old. Don't beleive me...ask my wife.
I work as a contract instructor where I train people to run Nuclear Power Plants. The contract part means that I travel a lot and am constantly away from home. My wife lives in California and I work and live in Mississippi.
I was a Reactor Operator (ET) in the Navy. I spent almost 9 years in Uncle Sam's canoe club (1972 - 1980). Was stationed on the USS George Washington Carver (SSBN656 Blue) and the USS Bremerton (SSN698).
I was an NRC licesned operator at the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant in North Carolina.
I left there in 1985 and went to work for the Hope Creek Generating as an operations instructor where I learned to train operators to take their NRC Examination. Left there in 1995 and became a contract instructor (commonly referred to as a "whore" or "contract scum"). That means I travel from plant to plant to assist in training the operators there. Since 1995 I have spent time at the following nuclear power stations: Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Hope Creek Generating Station, Limerick Generating Station, Nine Mile Point Generating Station,
Susquehanna Generating Station, Brown's Ferry Nuclear Station, Oyster Creek Generating Station, and Grand Gulf Nuclear Station.
My wife (smokinbeaver) and I have 3 kids, all grown. The oldest is 33 and the youngest is 27.
Who I'd like to meet: My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Fortunately...I know that one day I will meet him face to face.
Had an amazing time at the Gettysburg battlefield. We did the auto tour and I had my uncle who is a history professor and my mother who is well read on the Civil War. It was just short of shocking as to what happened on those three days in July 1863......the Wheatfield gave me the willies........and of course, Pickett's charge too......frankly, it is just a place that one must see to understand. ;-)
