Welcome friends, fans, lovers and anybody who wants to be a Broken Social Scenester.
If you're new or casual to BSS, you can find some limited information and streaming
audio clips on the official
Broken Social Scene website. If you're here, you probably know about that
AND almost everything about the band (right?!). Ok, so maybe not everybody does.
And for those who aren't obsessed, here's a recap:
Broken Social Scene is a Juno-winning (hey, it sounds good) Toronto-based indie
rock/pop band that is just amazing (were you looking for an objective review?).
To date, they have three albums: 2001's "Feel Good Lost", October
2002's "You Forgot It In People", and March 2004's "Beehives".
Broken Social Scene is a rather large group, primarily made up of Justin Peroff,
Brendan Canning, Andrew Whiteman, Kevin Drew, Charles Spearin, John Crossingham,
Emily Haines, Evan Cranley, James Shaw, Leslie Feist, and Jason Collet... most
of whom are members of other bands like Metric, KC Accidental, Stars, Placebo,
Apostle of Hustle, Raising the Fawn, Secret Agent, By Divine Right, Do Make
Say Think, Peaches, and, well, I could go on (and on). At times BSS performs
with 15-20 members, depending on the location and schedule.
