Born Derrick Chavis hails from Henderson, North Carolina! At the young age of 11, Brolic and his family moved to the states capital Raleigh, North Carolina! In this big city of NC is where he then experienced life’s ups and downs! As he grew of age he learned that grinding would play a major role in the success that he knew he was destined to claim. Brolic befriended childhood friends and fellow DTP artist Small World, and Perfect Harmany and created the rap group “Norf Clk.” Norf Clk was their own creative meaning for their home state North Carolina. Brolic D. went from playing the blocks night and day, to putting his energy towards his craft and put the talent he was blessed with to use. “Prayer helped me through situations, Prayer was my motivation,” says Brolic. Brolic and his group Norf Clk gained the respect of their city in a short amount of time. They then started to hit the road, so that the rest of the world could see what they had to offer. Through traveling city to city the streets and the industry started to notice the talent that Brolic and his group possessed. Record deal offers from every major label in the industry began to roll in! An impromptu meeting with Disturbing Tha Peace Records, led to Brolic D. and Norf Clk signing with the label in 2005. Brolic featured on the 2006 gold plaque selling DTP compilation album, and is now currently heating the streets up with his club anthem “Shake That,” and his street classic “100 Grand.” Now the world has KING BROLIC!! hey u! how ya been? hope things are going good. UGH! It's just that he picks the damnedest (I know it's not a word) times to take a nap. I am STARVING and I didn't plan on cooking because my dad gave us a gift certificate to go to Ruby Tuesday and we had plans to go. I tried to wake him up over an hour ago and he's still laying there. YES! I do too, but I can't breathe, I can't sleep and my head is throbbing....I went to the Pharmacy last night and she hooked me up, so I hope with these meds I can get to feeling better.
