Bronwyn Davies -
violinist/fiddle player, singer and songwriter
Bronwyn grew up in the hills of upstate New York where she first learned to play the violin. While listening to the bluegrass, folk and jazz that her parents played, she soon started to play fiddle style, as well as classical music. In high-school she started to pick out a few chords on the guitar and write her own songs.
Her musical exposure was deepened at Bennington College, where she studied music composition and performance. During this period she also played with local bluegrass and celtic bands. During a stint abroad in London she played on recordings for various artists. She also continued to work on her own song-writing and vocal skills.
In her final year of college she came to Nashville for a few months. During her time there, she played fiddle with singer-songwriter Becky Chord. In 2005, following stints in Philadelphia and New York City, she decided to move back to Nashville . There she met Martin Motola, who produced her first full-length CD of original songs. The CD, entitled "Revealed", was completed in 2007. It features a number of talented Nashville musicians.
Bronwyn has played venues in Nashville and around the Southeast, as well as New York city. In addition, she has played violin with singer-songwriter Edie and the band the Big Happy. Currently Bronwyn is working on new songs for her next CD.
