many of your statements are contradictory and you should seriously consider using spell check on your next attempt to make a comment.

anita doesn't do booking and the street team never has.  your sources are incorrect.  the bronx underground has long promoted themselves by stating that they play a variety of music; not just hardcore and "mental" - although for the past couple of years, these types of bands have been predominant in the lineup.
i can not fathom how you could claim that the bronx underground is NOT an all-genre company.  review the bands playing at the next show.  does it take more than a couple of harder bands to satisfy your definition?

i'd find it hard to believe that now that pits are banned, but moshing has NEVER been promoted.  when it did begin, however, moshing was a whole different game - it was simply people bumping into each other and would conclude with only a couple of bruises, at most.  the trends in music have changed (i remember when it was all about pop-punk and ska!) and the recent styles have seemingly caused more problems, such as crowd-"BRASHING" and targeting (YOUR LIKE FAVORITE THING OMGZ LOL IT WAS SO COOL WHEN THE KID DIDN'T EXPECT US TO HIT HIM!).  maybe if ambulances weren't so commonly called it wouldn't be an issue.  maybe if people didn't associate hardcore and "mental" music with these bands, you'd be able to do whatever you wanted in a pit!  the long-standing rule for pits at the bronx underground has, in fact, been that - dance all you'd like as long as you don't hit people.  that includes the people who are SIMPLY STANDING around the pit and those who you target.

THERE IS NOTHING "COOL" ABOUT HURTING PEOPLE.

as i previously stated: trends in musical styles change frequently.  we have had a long-standing affair with hardcore, and it is now moving to lighter bands.  the bronx underground does try to accommodate peoples' musical likings.
so, to put it in terms that someone of your intelligence may better understand:  you sound like a fucking moron.  styles in music change, and currently it may be for the best since so many kids have been hurt up to this point.

THERE IS A WAY TO DANCE AND NOT HURT PEOPLE:  STAY AWAY FROM THE CROWD'S SIDEWALL AND DO NOT "TARGET" PEOPLE.

if you can somehow think of something intelligent to say in response to this, confront me at the next flc.  i'll be working the door.

and, for the love of god:  PUT YOUR FUCKING SHIRT ON.  YOU SMELL LIKE SHIT.

Sorry it took me a few days to comment again, I been busy with work but anyway....the first comment I read that was posted to what I was talking about says how the BXUG is about community not the pits. I never said anything about it not being about community hell I even said it's a place that bands of different styles can come play so if you're going to comment on something make sure you don't try and state something a person says and use it against them cause I will use that to brash on you!! second the way a mental venue is if there is going to be a mental or hardcore band playing yeah there is going to be a pit and if you take the pit away then what's the point of the venue even hosting mental and hardcore bands. I don't care what kind of music is played at the BXUG or the point because I support the BXUG and what it stands for in NY. but I'm not the type of person who is going to stand back and just let something I feel that is wrong pass on by and yeah I'm one who is down for a awesome pit and when it comes to be a pit I love it to be all out...and yeah from the BXUG pits alone I've walked out with a black eye, both my eye brows ripped open, a bloody lip, fucked up ribs, and the list goes on...and I still go back for more cause it's not just about the pits but the pits is part of the show!!!

and what I been hearing is Aneta doesn't do the booking anymore and just want to know if that's true or not and is it true that the street team is the one doing the booking? this might be why the bands that are playing are these emo rock, soft rock and punk bands that been coming out...and don't get me wrong there are some bands from the BXUG that I would love to see again that aren't metal or hardcore. But if that's true Aneta please look into that bands from all genres are getting a chance to play either at the Point or BXUG and make it a all music genre venue again like it use to be!!

are you guys for real? the bronx underground is about unity and about
being actually able to keep doing these shows for everyone, not about how brutal the music is and hardcore the pits are. the security has tightened because
people are more frequently getting hurt so the necessary steps needed
to be taken to ensure that these shows can still happen.  also, fyi,
this scene advocates the showcasing of ALL DIFFERENT GENRES OF MUSIC,
not just metal and hardcore.  get real fellas.

Hell i understand that you guys want everyone to be safe and have a good at at FLC but if you take a key part of the convert away(moshing) then kids who will never get a chance to see a show out of FLC you never give them the chance to be part of something real and something that will change them for the better such as a fucking pit!!!

Nov 12 2009 7:20 AM

This one is for either Dave or Anita....last year when I was still able to go to FLC you guys allowed moshing and people to have a great time and even if people got hurt due to it being a concert you guys were like well moshing is part of a concert so we can't take it away...but now you guys are taking that way I mean that is part of a Hardcore show!!
