Brooke Sharkey is an exceptional singer, guitarist and songwriter. Now 21 years old and 4 years of intense gigging and songwriting, she has the stage presence of an inspiring act. Brooke was born in England, lived in France for 8 years from the age of nine and moved back 4 years ago. Being bi-lingual, she sings as easily in French as she does in English. Brooke's style is relaxed and poetic as for her voice, she has been compared to Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman and Nora Jones. Since her return to England in 2005, Brooke has been performing all around the country and France playing at festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden party and many more. In the past two years, having spent 4 months in india and performed at many events and reputable venues such as the Jazz cafe (Camden, London), Brooke has developed into a captivating solo act with new inspiration, power and soul and has silenced noisy audiences with her pure and strong, yet fragile vocals. Brooke's most recent available album is called 'Hollow tree' and features 13 original tracks, all performed in the most sincere manner, live. This is as close you get to a real performance, no tricks, no overdubs, just talent and feel. Brooke is currently working on her new album 'Another train to catch' with producer Mike (MCASSO) and the release is soon due...so keep your eyes and ears open and you won't be dissapointed... Brooke Sharkey n'a pas seulement une voix captivante et originale, mais aussi une capacitee extraordinaire de pouvoir ecrire des paroles emouvantes et evoquantes. Cela fait 4 ans qu'elle a quitee la France pour retourner dans son pays d'origine mais elle a passe 8 ans de sa vie dans les deux-sevres. Etant bilingue, elle chante aussi confortablement en Francais, qu'en Anglais. Son style est tres poetique et detendu, et sa voix a ete comparee a celle d'Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman et Nora Jones. Depuis son retour en Angleterre, elle a fait de nombreux concerts et a fait taire de grandes audiences avec sa voix pure et forte. Depuis son retour de l'inde, elle revient avec encore plus d'inspration et de 'soul'. Son dernier album s'appelle 'Hollow tree'. Cet album est enregistre live, sans effets, sans harmonies, juste Brooke et sa guitarre... C'est le plus pres qu'on peut etre d'une vraie performance...En ce moment, elle travaille sur son prochain album et fait des concerts partout dans le Royaume-Uni et l'Europe.
