About me:
History of the Library

The Brookfield Free Public Library was founded in 1913 as a result of the efforts of the Brookfield Women's Club.

The library facility has changed in recent years to keep up with the rapid development of technology. In 1997 we offered the Internet to patrons for the first time. In 2004 we installed a wireless access point so patrons could bring in their own laptops or devices and get on the Internet in the library.

What's Happening at the Library Now?

Here at our physical library space we offer all kinds of books from non-fiction books about landing on the moon to fiction tales of men who build monsters and all that there is in between. (At least all that we can fit on our shelves!) But, if we don't have it we can get it for you - so feel free to ask.

For our BFYAs (Brookfield Young Adults) we offer an AniManga Club, Young Adult Movie Night, Late Night at the Library, and Rock On. This summer we'll be taking virtual road trips to random destinations: ice cream heaven, the Asian market, and the library's very own tourist trap. If you end up dumpster diving, don't say we didn't warn you ...
