In the summer of 2004 singer song writer Leigh Evans enjoyed his first taste of success in Germany when his band Loop reached the finals of the ‘battle of the bands’ competition Emergenza in Berlin.
This success affirmed Leigh’s commitment to his music and proved that there was an audience for his material, and so with a rearranged line-up and a new band name the group began gigging and recording music as Brookhouse Road.
In autumn 2007 the band started working on their debut CD. Choosing which tracks to include on this first album was a difficult process as the band has a large back catalogue of songs to choose from, however after many months of hard studio work the feeling that something special was in the making was quite clear.
In the end the 13 tracks include some existing material previously recorded with producer Andrian Breakspear in Strongroom Studios London, along with some new songs written more recently.
The Album title “Draw The Line” materialized at a later stage and was influenced by the radio stations playing a seemingly endless amount of average music and the final studio sessions to signify its completion.
The four band members have followed very different paths to reach the Brookhouse Road crossroads and have been inspired by a variety of music styles including Indie, Rock, Electronic and Jazz, which is reflected in the diversity of the music on the album.
The band and the album has had some airplay on two major Berlin radio stations - Fritz Radio and Star FM: and album track “Just Change It” was included on a compilation album from Bread & Butter show in Barcelona.
Brookhouse Road are currently in the process of producing their first video in Berlin, a city which suits the mood of the band and their music.
If you only buy one CD a year then make sure its “Draw the Line” no record collection is complete without it !

 LEIGH EVANS - LEAD VOCALS, GUITAR
Singer song writer and leader (the brains) of the band, Leigh, born in England has been writing songs ever since he can remember and started playing guitar at twelve, he hasn’t been able to put it down since! Leigh moved to Berlin in 2003 and has worked on a number of projects before coming up with the concept of ‘BROOKHOUSE ROAD’ and their inspired debut full-length album ‘DRAW THE LINE’.

 JULES WARD - LEAD GUITAR, BACKING VOCALS
Coming from Blackburn, North West England Jules initially played drums, but due to transport (14 years old with a bicycle) difficulties began playing guitar ! He is influenced by The Who to Bob Dylan. Travelling and playing first as a busker, then in pubs and clubs he is the real deal old school rock & roller ! He moved to Berlin 6 years ago and met Leigh (the frontman of the band). His abstract poetry is not to be missed at the Brookhouse Road gigs.

 BEN HOWELL - BASS GUITAR
Born in Berlin this awesome bassplayer is the youngest and newest member of the band. Ben started playing the guitar at the tender age of eight and has stayed with music ever since. His amazing bass skills, along with outstanding keyboard work and vocal range helps the band achieve a massive sound and presence on stage.

 LEO WIEGAND - DRUMS
This versatile drummer is now dedicating all of his time and energy to the Brookhouse Road band. Leo has years of experience behind him with a wide scope of music styles from Rock to Jazz to Folk. Someone who really eats, sleeps and breathes music, Leo behind the drums for Brookhouse Road offers a significant contribution to the band’s sound.
