It is a cold January evening. The only thing i can think of latly is umpiring kickball again this coming summer. God how I miss the warm summer sun, the awsome friends I made, the arguments over my totaly fair and totaly correct calls, and The main field under the summer nights lights. I miss you Brooklyn Kickball and I love more than anything umpiring your games. So until April as I always say or as I always yell "Kicker Ready, Pitcher Ready, LETS GET IT ON!!!"

With an obvious nod to past New York sports heroes, kickballer Jesse "Ballgame" Sullivan joins the ranks of "Broadway" Joe Namath and Mark "The Moose" Messier in guaranteeing his teams victory in the upcoming Brooklyn Kickball League's September Playoffs.
"I'm not gonna lie" Sullivan stated, "We're [The Commitments] a team of ringers. The cream of the crop, drafted from the softball and soccer fields of McCarren park, boasting a cumulative 10 Championship rings... I guess our toes need some jewelry too."
While other teams, Los Piratos (The Spanish phrase for 'yesterdays news' was unavailable at press time) Mechanicos, Never (Usually) Scared, The John Cougar (didn't he sing "Summer of '69'?) Mellancamps, The New (Stale) Fronitersman, and other teams that google has never heard of, believe they have a legitimate shot at the coveted Josh Wasserman/Chuck D cup. Captain Randal Mixon discounts them simply saying, "We're the Tiger Woods of kickball. Sure, we may sit out most of the season, but, when the Masters comes, who brings their 'A' game? Tiger. Similarly, when teams like 'Crucial Taint' try to step up to the plate... Hey, someone needs to hold even Tiger's bag."
The playoffs 'kick'off on Sunday, September 7th. Those who root for the underdog need not show up, unless heartbreak is on their agenda.
