Here's a little bit about the bands I'm currently in.
Southern Stride is the newest group I'm playing with, we play mostly southern rock covers with some originals. I met the guys in SS at the Silver Screen theater during a battle of the bands in which they were competing with VG. I got to know the guys during this time and we then parted ways. Eventually they were on the hunt for a new drummer so I filled in for them, which then turned into me being their full time replacement. It's a lot of fun playing the music I was raised on and they write some killer southern tunes so watch out.
ORPHIC is a prog rock band I play guitar in, we have just recently begun to try again. We grew in popularity for awhile and it climaxed about the time we lost our singer. We went out with a MASSIVE show at the courtyard and went our separate ways. Everyday over the year and a half of retirement we kept being individually reminded of what it was and what we meant to the people around here so we've gotten back together, with Rich on drums, Karl on bass, and myself back on guitar. It feels good to write music that touches people and I hope it works, though schedules have always been rocky with this group. We recently hired Kat on vocals and I hope things work out.
The music from this project is the truest to myself that I have ever been. The subjects are various but all reflect personal feelings, thoughts, memories, or events that have changed my life.
My name is Richard and I am a musician, I love to play and create. This project is dedicated to the memory of my late Brother Eric, as well as many others I've lost along the way, and is meant to give my deepest thoughts avenue to the world of music. Music was important to my brother, and when he passed he left me some cd's, courage, and plenty of advice. Thanks to him I have never took a drink, smoked, or done any drug, and I turn to guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, and other fun noisy stuff to get out my emotions. If it weren't for him, musically I would not exist, and neither would Forsythe Productions, Orphic, Marvin, Battlefield Earth, Greystone, Brother Eric, or many others. Thank you to all who have supported me and know that I remain humble and gracious to have your freindship, love and strength backing me, and even if I never make it I know I can never fail with you on my side. I hope the future brings us all closer together, and that this music brings you joy or helps relieve stress, or makes you sad, or just reminds us what it's like to be human, and more.

i want to, & have been looking forward to the show since the day i heard about it, in september...i told my 'rents rite away, but now there goin on a date tonite, & they said "oh well, blah blah blah" so idk rite now if i can go, im sooo mad! unless of course they get back home in time? idk man tho....
