A unique 3 year journey has given the 2 surviving members of the Chris Pierson Band a chance to branch out. Singer/ songwriter Chris Pierson and multi instrumentalist George Marlow have moved on to form the new alternative rock band Brother Grey. Inspired by a unique mix of family and personal history, this has originality written all over it in that two separate worlds have proven yet again opposites attract. George Marlow brings a trained ear and mind to an other wise raw visionary in Chris Pierson who has learned music only through listening and discovering emotion. The two have a combined 25 years in music. Pierson (29) and Marlow (30) have boasted that this is their proudest work to date, period. The collaborative mix has resulted in a dynamic blend of colorful texture over massive rock and metal overtures mixed with soaring vocals, introspective lyrics and huge guitars. Mixed with both vintage and heavy modern tones Brother Grey aims to bring something truly alternative to its listeners.
A piece of the story…
-Pierson who was recently married received a gift in the mail in the form of a book about his ancestors who fought and experienced civil war times entitled “Brothers in Grey, The civil war letters of the Pierson family“. The book consisted of letters that painted a vivid picture on life and the moral of that time. As Chris read on he began to see the parallels between life then and life now. Pierson concluded, other than advancements in technology we as people are still the same. We all feel pain, hurt, love and life the same way but its all in our interpretation that gives us our end result. Thus the inspiration for Brother Grey. The band says, “we have been through a lot in the last three years and we feel like this is the identity that represents us best. These songs represent all of our emotions that we were feeling during those times so this record is kind of our way of bringing about closure to those chapters in our life. We are releasing this so that maybe it will do the same for our listeners“.
The end result of writing and contemplating throughout this 3 year journey has resulted in an impeccable body of work. The bands debut album is entitled “Boddhisattva” and promises to bring an introspective look to the face of modern rock. Tentatively scheduled for a Christmas 09’ indie release, Brother Grey shoots for the moon with this new album aiming to attract a world wide audience.

Excellent - I shall check it out now! I tried to email Roe the other day, but I don't know if it went through or not. I'll copy and paste the relevant bits into this comment for you:
I’ve
decided to make the Loucifer Speaks Zine a monthly PDF download until I
can raise enough cash to go for producing a printed one. If the Brother
Grey guys are interested in any advertising in the meantime, I’m
selling space at discounted rates for the foreseeable future – http://www.louciferspeaks.com/advertising.html
Any money raised will go towards promoting Loucifer Speaks and working our way to that printed magazine!
Anyway, now onto the point of my email!
Since
the Loucifer Speaks Zine is now monthy, it does mean that the next
issue will be out in November. Do you think Chris would like to have an
interview in this issue, or the December one? Or, do you think that
he’d prefer to stay with the original plan and have an interview in the
January issue? It’s completely up to him and whichever issue he feels
will be best to promote the new album in.
