Forged in the legendary South Texas metal scene, Brotherhood has dominated the San Antonio circuit since 2005 and remains a regional force to be reckoned with after solidifying their lineup for 2009. The quintet’s dynamic sound draws logical comparisons to bands such as Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Chimaira, and Pantera. They’ve shared the stage with mainstream metal acts such as Sevendust, Ill Nino, Soulfly, and Kittie, in addition to slots with underground metal heavyweights Suicide Silence, Bring Me The Horizon, Despised Icon, Job For A Cowboy, and War of Ages. Brotherhood took third place in Garage for Ozzfest in August of 2008, a contest in which they competed against 200 Texas bands for one of two slots on the Monster Energy Drink Stage.
Brotherhood is bucking short-lived metal trends in favor of reinventing the principles of old school metal. The result of this back to basics approach is music that’s equally as appealing to newer-school hardcore addicts as it is to their headbanging counterparts, and the unbridled fury in their live show has raised the bar for Texas metal. The importance of song structure is never compromised — the band’s music hits hard without sacrificing hooks, creating a sound that’s visceral and fierce, yet still accessible. Brotherhood’s strength lies in their powerful, infectious grooves, and the band achieves staying power with their timeless sound. The band’s primary objective in 2009 is to secure a record contract that will allow their music to be heard and appreciated on a national and international level. Brotherhood is Sponsored by Jagermeister and Managed by Jim Lamarca (Chimaira) and Straightrazor Entertainment.
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
