Brother Machine is an Austin rock band which, from it's beginning would refuse to be identified. Its creator, Seth Gibbs, is a multi-talented musician, songwriter and producer who reclusively constructs nearly every sound to be heard on a Brother Machine record. Seth is also a partner in Austin's Superpop Records, which gives him the opportunity to take any of his musical ideas from conception to record. With this in mind, it is no wonder the music moves from style to style almost as a stream of consciousness. From summer hip hop jams to existentialist folk durges to electro country punk, the songs flow together seamlessly, finally tied together by thoughtful lyrics that address the unbearable bitterness of life and the unshakable optimism that accompanies it. .... -

im doing alright. back in Minnesota, working, and mostly trying to relax back into life after a year and a half of sobriety. i was living out in NH on a self sustaining farm last year, in a work program type a thing. its been good.so, now im just trying to find a balance and to try and turn some different corners, seeing what in on the other side of the self fulfilling path i had been on. i still keep up with Amber, and miss Austin, TX. im glad to hear you made it to 28. that was a big year for me, i realized i wasn't 25 anymore:) it's good to settle into your own skin a little. i trust your enjoying your days and that you are inspired by music and beautiful new sound. keeping you in my thoughts, my friend.
