    Brothers Chaffey have been supporting there latest release "BLOODLINES", produced by Ken Friesen (Tragically Hip/David Usher/The Sadies), which has received local, regional and national attention in Canada. "BLOODLINES" was awarded 4 out of 5 stars in the Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Sun. Brothers Matthew and Curtis Chaffey have been preforming together since 1997 developing their skills in clubs across the country. In 2005 they formed Brothers Chaffey and with the aid of producers Alec Fraser (Jeff Healey) and Michael Fonfara (Lou Reed/Downchild) released their first CD "Harbord Street Soul". This experience opened many doors, allowing the Brothers to tour all over Ontario and the East Coast of Canada. All the while maintaining a busy touring schedule, in 2009 they released "BLOODLINES", a strong showing in the Roots/Rock genre. The recording showcases the powerful and emotional vocals of singer Matthew and the country/soul stylings of younger brother Curtis' b-bender guitar. With a flair for melody and harmony the songs reveal a wholehearted approach to songwriting. Garnering attention from internationally recognized festivals like Toronto's NXNE and the Ottawa Bluesfest, Brothers Chaffey have had the opportunity to open for Great Big Sea, Iron & Wine, Drake, Theory Of A Deadman, Tokyo Police Club and Colin James. They have also had the opportunity to perform with roots and blues artists Cindy Cashdollar, Joe Louis Walker, The Texas Horns, David Maxwell, Joe Krown & Russell Batiste, Eddie "the Chief" Clearwater and Monkeyjunk. Since 2004 Brothers Chaffey have been performing their brand of roots rock country soul all over Canada. Led by brothers Matthew and Curtis Chaffey, their sound is best described as a combination of genres, most notably the R&B of Matthew's vocals and the country rock in Curtis' telecaster twang. They write contemporary rock n' roll songs that lean heavily on melody and are comfortable infusing their material with traditional motifs and ideas.

The vitality and intensity of their music has earned the Brothers Chaffey a solid reputation for their up-tempo, dancehall, rock n' roll shows. They have toured from coast to coast and maintained a solid fan base in Halifax, Toronto and Ottawa in support of their first record release Harbord Street Soul.

In the summer of 2009 the Brothers released their second CD Bloodlines, a collaboration with engineer/producer Ken Friesen (Tragically Hip/the Sadies.) The Brothers combine their love of soulful blues, rock and country to create in their original songs a spirit and honesty that translates to the listener. Driven by Matthew's powerful vocal style and Curtis' commanding guitar work "Bloodlines" features the rhythm section of Dave Macdonald(Bass) and Nick Diak(Drums). Reviews in the Vancouver Sun and Ottawa Citizen gave the recording 4 out of 5 stars. The group is busy playing shows all over Ontario and are planning to tour throughout Canada and into the U.S. in 2010.
