Brothers Gibson is a Brisbane based music collaboration, event promotions company and booking agency. The Gibbos specialise in presenting acoustic showcases and promoting musicians and artists mainly in Brisbane. The company also includes Gibson Records which released the Yuki album "Room Next Door" in 2006 and Brothers Gibson "Moosehead" album in 2007. Brothers Gibson started out as a music duo in Copenhagen Denmark in 2005. After a couple or years gigging on the European circuit the Gibbos returned home to Brisbane where they established themselves as a popular act and recorded their debut album Moosehead. In 2008 original member Brother Sasha moved back to Denmark where he is now married and lives. Brother Mike now focuses primarily on developing the Brothers Gibson vision for a stronger local music community working together to promote local talent. In recent years Brothers Gibson has joined together with many other Brisbane based musicians and artists to produce and present acoustic show-cases throughout south-east Queensland. These include the Ice Breaker originals showcase, Campfire "Live" Karaoke and the Big Wheel Jam in West End. They also also assist and book popular Brisbane acts such as the Watershed duo, Pete and Will, Tom Foolery, Wagon Willy, Paul Clarke, Michaela Ponting, Yuki, Matt "Dingah" Johnstone, Alex Bell, Amy Evans and the Paperbacks and Mike's own acts the Square Pegs, the Mickets and as folk singer Michael Thomas. Mike continues to work with many friends, colleagues and local artists as a cellist, guitarist, singer and song-writer.

We're playing our last show on december 6th in support of 4ZZZ's 33rd Birthday at the jube with some of brisbane's greatest bands. This will actually be our last show until we go on tour in march, and we'll be gone for most of the year. It's also LT's Birthday show, and I'm sure he'll be partying very hard. This show means a lot to us and we want you to be there. So cancel your plans, bring your friends and come party!
Neil Young is one of the most influential and talented musicians to grace this planet and to celebrate his career I am playing in a tribute show hosted by Starving Kids. It'll be at The Globe on the 5th of Sept. Dan Parsons, Chris Pickering and a few others will also be playing a bunch of Young covers on the night as well as a few originals. Ive got a lot of gigs lined up the next two months, which is cool. Met a whole group of new musos...Danish musos, and they are great. There's a whole underground singer-songwriter scene in Copo, which I never knew of until two weeks ago! Its opened a whole new world. Hope all is peachy! Love Y xxx
