the innocence mission, ugly casanova, fugazi, low, dread, the who, carissa's wierd, bukowski, nofx, spontaneous combustion, woody guthrie, fire, the paper chase, falling of a building (anything adam cullum really), and everyone in columbia.
we like to run and dance and paint and drink and travel. and write and watch and law and order. and spit and curse and read and swing. we used to rock (and sometimes still do) as perelandra!
After climbing the ladder to place my turntable on top of my Criterion receiver that's hanging from the ceiling, the mail carrier knocked on my door, claiming that he had a "parcel." He then kicked at my furniture to work me into a lather, to provoke an altercation. I shook his hand like I did the others; we will NOT fight.
While wearing regulation safety goggles, I sat cross legged today at the library deliberating on how to make a train go straight between two cliffs while the backyard swing sways back and forth. If the train has to go UP a hill the tracks should have matching teeth. The goggles are using my nose as a reminder that it "ain't all rosey," and that is the extent of the disguise that they gave me.
There has been much speculation and rumor-mongering regarding my whereabouts and activities during my absence. The idea I was incarcerated is laughable, as the state has yet to build a pen that could hold me for more than a couple of minutes, see. And besides, death hasn’t stopped me yet. So, compared to these fanciful stories of what happened while I was away, the truth is pretty mundane and pedestrian. I’ve simply been busy in a parallel universe, see.
I blanketed my egg sandwich with ketchup, then I put the bottle back and continued eating. The waitress returned. "Mr. Heller, have you decided if you would like some ketchup?" There will be NO tip for her, it was decided. Or better yet, I WILL tip her generously, but when it was time to pay, I'll tell her that yes, I have in fact decided that I would like ketchup, a few bags worth, "to go" please, since it's for my boss.
