"Sensitive, scorned, and whimsically serious, BROTHERS PAST is a glimpse into the future of pop music. The Philadelphia quartet rests on a bedrock of solid songwriting, progressive musical sensibilities and incredible drumming... "Words Like Weapons" is a great fucking song with its snappy blips, hot-knife lyrics and scooting breakbeat. In "Leave the Light On" Tom Hamilton's whining lament opposes quick snare snaps and dreamy synths. "Everything Must Go" closes the album with a down-the-nose farewell to the album's lost love. BROTHERS PAST offers a smooth and believable blend of electronica, rock and pop just original enough to place This Feeling at the top of the growing pile of genre-bending releases. -- MORGAN WELLS, URB MAGAZINE
"Philadelphia-based electro-rock band Brothers Past ain’t your typical rock band at all. The quartet works off an energetic sound rich with heavy guitar riffs, spazz-out drum beats, and bleepy digital audio manipulations. It’s ambitious, high-minded, conceptual stuff aiming for the same heights at which Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, and Radiohead set their sights." -- BY: T. BALLARD LESEMANN, The Charleston City Paper
Since early 2000, Philadelphia's BROTHERS PAST have managed to stand out from the crowd by merging bits of electronic exploration with indie-rock flavored anthems. The band's sound is new and energetic, big yet introspective, a merger of rock anthems and electronic exploration. Their 2005 release, This Feeling's Called Goodbye, on Sci-Fidelity Records, saw the the band receive national praise, from critics, bloggers, hippies, hipsters, and regular joes just like you! Many festival appearance followed, including a slot at Bonnaroo in June 2006. Band members are currently working on material for a new record, and dabbling in various side projects, like Tom Hamilton's American Babies and Biodiesel.

Yo guys! When you come to Denver you should try and fit in another show in Boulder at The Fox or Boulder Theater or for a smaller intimate place The Laughing Goat or Red Fish (both in Boulder). or a show at CU or something...
I hope new year's treated you guys well and revived the band. We need some down south love in a serious way! I am listening to a show on the archive right now from Grog Shop in Cleveland on 11-17-2006 and the shit is mind blowing.
