Brother Yancy is a semi-retired gentleman, having served 26 glorious years in the United States Navy, mostly as a Pharmacist's Mate, but he was frequently called upon to 
conduct classes in hygienic education with enlisted personnel on ships deemed to require such. Brother Yancy was also commended for services above and beyond the call of duty for assistance he rendered over the years to the Naval Investigative Services. The nature of such assistance he is still not at liberty to discuss. Brother Yancy lives with his beloved Mother, Cordelia, and is so happy to be her caregiver. Miss Cordelia taught High School English for many years and her husband, Charles, passed away in 1971. Brother Yancy never married because of his active service in the Navy, but has many fond remembrances of friends met in the service. Brother Yancy has many interests including gardening and watercolors and is very active in his Church, never missing a meeting of the Men's Fellowship Group on Friday nights. Brother Yancy has also recently begun lecturing to sessions of the Foot Washing Baptist Camporama. Teen Boys Sessions and counselling the boys attending the camp.
