| General | i work and play with computers... so generally things geeky. figuring out how to do stuff with different distros of kubuntu. Surfing teh internets for funny and interesting pics, jokes, videos, and memes to share with friends. Laughing with and sometimes at my friends. trollin for new pics of LOLcats. Spelunking in Caves with Bruce Wayne. | | Music | my collection spans everything from Carl Orff to Bell Biv DeVoe; from Madonna, Blind Melon, Keith Sweat, and Harvey Danger to Green Day, George Michael, Naughty By Nature, and Donald Glaude. From R.E.M. to AeroSmtih. My tastes are truly eclectic and i just play what accents my mood. And madd props go out to anyone who has two or more Disney Movie Soundtracks on their computer/ipod. | | Movies | rather than using the word eclectic as my music collection is, i would describe my movie collection as epileptic. I enjoy the "cinematic adventures" probably more so than most of my friends. My Favorite films cover the spectrum from the entire Kevin Smith catalog, SE7EN and Fight Club (both are Brad Pitt / David Fincher collaborations), Boondock Saints, Dead Poet's Society, My Life As A Dog, Super Troopers, and The Crow. I enjoy everything from the random romantic comedy (see: The Cutting Edge; Must Love Dogs; Love Actually) and the crappy horror movie (see: Cabin Fever "faced! Scratch-moded!"; any SAW movie; and Hostel) to reminiscing with the old school Disney flicks. | | Television | Pushing Daisies, Life, Journeyman, The Office, House, Lost, Bones, Heroes, Beauty and the Geek, CHUCK, My Name is Earl, Thirty Rock, Diggnation, TikiBarTV, TotallyRadShow, Cntrl Alt Chicken, DL.tv, Cranky Geeks, West Wing Repeats, Quantum Leap, Fraggle Rock, The Noozles, Maya the Bee, David the Gnome, Eureka's Castle, Gargoyles, Tale Spin, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck (Launchpad and Robo Duck - Blatherin Blatherscyte), Gummy Bears, Care Bears, Lil Bits, Profit, Strange Luck, The Pretender, Small Wonder, Outta This World, Doug, Clarissa Explains it All.... woah... sorry gotta a lil nostalgic there... damn those were good shows weren't they? | | Books | i've really enjoyed the entire Ender Saga by Orson Scott Card: "Ender's Game", "Speaker for the Dead", "Xenocide", and "Children of the Mind". Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" inspired me very much having been lucky enough to stumble on a copy of it earlier this year. "The Other Bible" and "Jesus and The Lost Goddess". Plus many of my friends have mocked me for my tendency and actual enjoyment of reading product manuals and how to books. Plus if you get a chance read "Rick Dad Poor Dad" and any thing by Zig Zigler | | Heroes | I draw inspiration in life from my friends and family. My mother, even though she's bat shit insane went through a lot to make sure that the three of us kids survived into adulthood even if we did it by the skin of our teeth. My father and step father for being an inspiration of what love is and how it can be found even in the face of adversity. I am inspired by the capability and heart of people like Mark Zupan. The dedication and work of Paul Rieckhoff of IAVA (iava.org). The wit and humor of people like Kevin Smith; and the forethought and savvy like Aristotle Onasis. |

About me:
I'm just hanging in there trying to find my place in the world. I enjoy geeking out in front of my computer; spelunking in caves with Bruce Wayne (jay kay colon close parentheses); i try to flex the creative part of my brain by capturing what i see in the world with my camera or drawing it... it makes for an interesting perspective of things when you go back and try to explain what was so interesting about something to someone else. I tend to be a home body, but like going out with my friends; doesn't really matter the location or activity as long as there's good people involved.
