Sounds Like
a star going supernova or a very hard swinging sax/bass/drum situation augmented and enhanced by electronics, avant garde and accessible, noisy and melodic, textural and ethereal, all things jazz and beyond.

The Fellinis play a soulful and aggressive style of post modern improvised/composed jazzical sound that is informed by dub, afro beat, abstract funk, drumnbass, hardcore/psych/prog rock and film soundtracks (the darker and more atmospheric the better)
The group has been profiled on NPR and BET in the US and on Radio Nova in France.
They've traveled to Spain to perform at the San Sebastian International Jazz Festival and to British Columbia for the du Maurier festival. Other festival appearances include the San Francisco Jazz Festival, Stern Grove Festival in SF, the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle and more.
Broun Fellinis have toured with Ben Harper and performed with many greats such as The Last Poets, Meshell Ndegeocello, Living Colour, Erykah Badu, the Roots, Mos Def, Gil Scott-Heron, Zakir Hussain, Bernie Worrell, Eric McFadden, George Clinton, Mystic Journeymen, Jimmy Smith, Prince Lasha, Les Claypool, Buckethead, Aceyalone, Mikah 9, Antibalas, Blackalicious, General Public, Ravi Coltrane, Eric McFadden, 311, and more.

Yo Folks you need to check out the Fellinis at Yoshi's (SF) July 30th 10pm. And you need to check out their latest record "Dotabata" dropping this month.
Hey guys i'm listening to a CD of that show two weeks ago, it came out awesome after a little editin'. If your at the Faraway Bros. show this friday ill have copies for y'all. Otherwise I can mail them. Thanks for the awesome music, i'm fellin' it! (having paid homage via itunes)
Thanks for adding me to your list of friends. Allow me also to thank you for what I think is genuine artistry in your approach to mmusic. A higher regard, I could not have. And Kevin, you are, in fact, the funkiest drummer on the face of the planet!
My favorite band of the 90s. The only "acid jazz" band that matters. Your tape got me through some ruff & lonely times. Good to see you're still going strong.
Saturday morning walks up McAllister Street to get a cup o' coffee, the sounds of a saxophone bellowing through a corner window; always to put a smile on my face. :)
sometimes i wish we went to high school together. I coulda been the psychedelic-stoner mc instead of the crack mc. or i could've made a great hypeman. could of grunted and yelped after riffs. or i could have made my random videos as visuals.
