Hey Josh, I remember the designer's name I was telling you about, finally... It's Floris Hovers. Here are some pics of his 'toys' I took at the DutchDesignWeek 2007. (Just discard the two at the bottom. They have nothing to do with it...)
Very simple, basic, and brought back to it's bare essentials. I think they're realy cool and make me wish I was a kid again... ;-) Ofcourse they're nowhere near your sculptures. His is personal industrial retro design, while yours are individual one-of-kind pieces of art. These toys must be a joy to play with considering their weight and industrial bearings...
Thanks Josh, I saw your amzing stuff a few months or so before on ratrodbik dot com. I really like it. It reminded me of som designer stuff from holland. Unlike your models they were simplistic 'toys'. I think you'll love em too. I can't remember the designers name but have some images. I'll post some if I have more time...
