Sounds Like
been compaired to such bands bands as wire, joy division, the clash, bauhaus, gang of four, devo, fugazi, and the minutemen. some people say they've heard nothing like it you be the judge...
Featuring ex members of such groups as the Stoics (tocado.com), Rod, Disease, and the New Thirteen. The members of brownfield have over 50yrs combined playing experience. The members have played with a who's who of punk rock, hardcore, and indie bands. Have recorded and released music both independently and have had releases put out by other labels. With the demise of their aforementioned bands the (future) members of brownfield were left looking for something new. Tired with the standard "rock" format that is running rampant at this time they set out to do something different. Inspired by the post punk soundclash that happened in the late 70's early 80's with bands like Gang of Four, Liquid Liquid, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Devo, New Order. They as well recognized that music has progressed since then, and had no desire to be a "retro" band. So they added newer elements such as the sounds of bands like Fugazi and new sounds like house and drum n bass. They set out to mix their love of the groove in dance rhythms with the love of the aggression in punk music. brownfield is the result but you make the difference. It's not our revolution if we can't dance!

She keeps asking where the door goes. Well, dear, it opens a wall. Go and open it right now, reveal the great hall. Let loose the hose that knows where all the words they go; the point of this speech: This sequence of events is not coincidence.
