My name is Mike Curtis and I am the creative music director and executive producer for this independent record label. So, let me introduce you to Brown Moose Records.
Brown Moose Records is an established record label. We run the record label very much as a family business, believing that we get the most from our artists by making them feel at home and not under too much commercial pressure at first. The label is fully registered and working within contractual frameworks. None of our artists go into a recording studio without a signed contract or agreement. The company has a reputation for having some of the best independent recording deals in the business.
As a record label we are not tied to any one genre of music and indeed as the executive producer I believe in exploring all the boundaries of music. There are so many exciting avenues to be explored and one should never be narrow minded.
The label works a lot with break through artists. However we do expect our artists to have a sound background in music and to be able to demonstrate their skills in professional performances on stage.
Brown Moose Records is a subsidiary company of Blind Cow Ltd, a specialist pr and marketing agency working in the entertainment and fashion sectors.
Artists working with the label benefit from working with our vocal coaches, songwriters, producers, photographers, chorographers and film producers.
