Formed through love of English fanfare and crumpets in March 2005, Brown Sauce have both warmed and scolded the East End of London along with Camden, New York and Glastonbury. Here is an an extract from a review by 'English Cats and Clowns Monthly' -------------------------------------
"It made the cats cry and the clowns jump but what it did to me, Sir Reginald Ring of Biscuits, is another matter. These boys can play for sure. My mother once told me as she thrashed me at tiddly winks,------ " you'll never go wrong if you pour the sacred Brown Sauce on everything my dear reg."------
Well many girlfriends, pets, penny farthings, and winklepickers later i've realised what dear old mother meant......
Pour this delightful music on yourself and others dear friends. Mother's watching. Bingo."
The Bon Bon Club are Sushi Quatro (bass, vox), Thirsty Moore (drums, vox) and Chapatti Smith (perc, vox), although Sushi and Thirsty are better known under different names for their day job as the rhythm section of Sheffield glam-popsters The Long Blondes.
