About This Page

This page is being used to post some of the original solo material recorded in my amateur home studio. These are definitely in the demo category. The recordings currently on this page are from 2008 and 2009. I hope to do some more recording in the future.

About These Songs

Original Songs on this Page:

Blues Thang 1 - Demo

Written by Bob Rozwod; Recorded in December 2008; All guitars (acoustic, electric, lead, slide, bass) played by Bob Rozwod; Drums sequenced by Bob Rozwod using loops provided with Guitar Tracks Pro 3; Drum Consultant: Scott Coldren. Craig Higgins later contributed lyrics and a melody and we morphed this into a Snake Oil Salesmen song called Recipe For Disaster. I am currently playing Recipe For Disaster with my band Dirty Work.

First Love - Demo

Written by Bob Rozwod; Recorded Jan-Feb 2009; Bob Rozwod - All guitars (acoustic, electric, lead, bass), lead vocals, drum sequencing/programming; Eleni Augustinos - backing vocals; Scott Coldren and Todd Staudinger - consulting, feedback, and ideas. If it is still crap, the fault is all mine!; Mark Thomas - musical inspiration, the first guitar solo is quite similar to the one written and played by Mark on the original recording of this song by Trinity; This song was written back in 1989. The original recorded version was an acoustic version released on the Trinity Acoustic Ham cassette album released back in 1990. This recording is in a full band format.

Idle Man - Demo

Written by Bob Rozwod; Recorded in Aug-Sep 2009; Bob Rozwod - All guitars (rhythm, electric, lead, slide, bass), lead vocals, drum sequencing/programming

First Groove - Demo

Written by Bob Rozwod; Recorded in November 2008; All 6 string and slide guitars played by Bob Rozwod; Drums and Bass sequenced by Bob Rozwod using loops provided with Guitar Tracks Pro 3

Praise - Demo (Coldren, Higgins, Rozwod, Schuh)

This song was written by my SOS band mate Craig Higgins in reaction to some idiotic things various religious zealots were saying. We certainly do not agree with them. SOS used to play it, but we dropped it from our live repertoire some time ago. Even though we could not find a spot for it in our live show, I always liked this song and decided to finish recording it. The tracks from Coldren, Schuh, and Higgins were originally recorded by Paul Schuh in his home studio back in 2007 and set aside. I recently decided to finish this track and created and recorded some parts in Aug 2009. Scott Coldren: drums; Craig Higgins: rhythm guitars, guitar solo; Bob Rozwod: lead and slide guitars, lead vocals, organ, recording, mixing, production; Paul Schuh: bass guitar, recording, production.

The Hold (Instrumental Version) - Demo

Written by (this version) Bob Rozwod; Recorded in November 2008; All instruments (acoustic, electric, and lead guitars) played by Bob Rozwod; I recorded this a while back on a whim and finally decided to post it. Scott Coldren, Craig Higgins, and I have since contributed lyrics and melodies to make this a complete song that we are working on in Snake Oil Salesmen. Hopefully a recording of the full version will be posted in the future

Hey Roz Music, Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. Your essence is equal to the beauty of a galaxy. Your intoxicating reflection can but incorporate freely into the powerful surface of a disintegrating mirror set afloat upon a swarm of locusts. I relentlessly desire cotton candy lollipops. Your sweet voice is like the application of aloe vera upon a sunburnt back. I sense wild vapors of sweet champagne in your larynx. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. How it passes there and back again like a tear drop glistening in moonlight. In your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch. Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. Your beauty is equal to the smoothness of a polished gem. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame.

Hey Bob, is your Halloween gig still on? I had signed up for it on FB, but then it was canceled. I think.
