With their Heavy album release in 2006 "The Darkest Hour" Black Reign truly showed The North American and European scene a blend of eastern culture as well as remarkable dance floor innovations. Many Releases hit the fanny in 2007 including Marukomus's "Night Shift", as well as the mellow dramatic "The Tunnel" by Hope and several other headphone hair raisers. 2007 also brought the uprising of 10.9 Recordings out of United Kingdom, a side imprint for the deeper sounds of the Black Reign Crew, this also allowed more space for Black Reign to breath, and become wat it is now today while 10.9 pushed forward into a realm of dj support and heavy releases.

2008 has proved to be a big year indeed for Black Reign Recordings, with the birth of the new sound in drum and bass worldwide, Black Reign has taking a liken to many new artists including a "sick wit it" roster from the likes of: DB, New Agenda, Gyromite, Nuclear Waste, Max NRG & Derrick FM, Recall % E-Lazors "Synthasia", Grimm and much more to be announced.
