Bruce Dennis is a Hamilton-based singer/songwriter who has played and toured with a number of Australasian and International artists. After working extensively with blues icons Midge Marsden, Phil Manning and Sonny Day, Bruce’s passion for ‘roots’ music coupled with his emergence as a songwriter led to him becoming an in-demand opening act for artists like US alt-country bluesmen Bo Ramsey, Kevin Gordon and Kinky Friedman, the Warratahs and Wayne Mason. He also featured in a Radio New Zealand series on original NZ music, recording tracks for that at RNZ’s Helen Young studios.
Bruce recently recieved Country Music Song of the Year for "Ain't Gonna Run" at the 2008 Golden Guitar Awards.
Bruce has long been recognised locally for his soulful voice and musicianship and these latest sessions feature some well-known players at the peak of their powers. Grooves ranging from country soul to r n’ b and reggae underpin mature, evocative lyrics that beautifully tell ten short stories from ‘All Our Days’.
"All Our Days is a very surefooted album, with Dennis' deft guitar work chugging alongside his tic-free and ardent vocal style and lyrics painted in bold colours." ... "There's a feeling of unforced authenticity to it." ... "This is an album for people who aren't convinced that listening to country music can be a good time." - Stu Hunt, Nelson Mail
"An easy listen that celebrates great musicianship, tasty guitar lines and upfront deliveries" - Steve Scott, Waikato Times
“Ain't Gonna Run is honest, it’s original and it’s undeniably memorable. Not just a great country song but a great song full stop.” - Ant Healey, APRA
"Convince yourself and let his album swallow you up." - www.rootstime.be (translated)

How you doing? Did I already ask you to listen to the drums on the song, "She's MIne" Everyone who enters a comment on that song before the end of the month will be in a drawing for a KC Roberts Hat, The Hat is Awesome, it's very thick, black with custom embroidery with my logo that's on my site on the front and it's trimmed out in this fine barbed wire looking embroidery. I've posted a picture of it in my pictures. If you've already commented, then good luck, but if you haven't then let me know what you think about the drums and the song. Thanks, KC
