About Bruderschaft

Bruderschaft is an electronic music artist's collective led by New York City-based DJ Rexx Arkana. Conceived as a charity project focused on cancer research and treatment in the wake of Arkana's father's death from the disease, Bruderschaft united some of the top names in the underground electronic music scene for the production of the band's first single, "Forever." The collaboration of Arkana (lyrics), Ronan Harris (VNV Nation-vocals), Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil-programming/production), Joakim Montelius (Covenant-samples/loops) and Stephan Groth (Apoptygma Berzerk-backing vocals) went on to top the charts throughout Europe and become a club favorite throughout North America.

Released by RazorBurn Records, in European partnership with Alfa-Matrix in 2003, the "Forever" EP (also available in a 2-Disc Limited Edition) featured an impressive who's who list of remixers, including FRONT 242, CAMOUFLAGE, FEINDFLUG, MELOTRON, THE RETROSIC, NEGATIVE FORMAT, ANGELS & AGONY, COLONY 5, LIGHTS OF EUPHORIA, DAVANTAGE, GRENDEL, PUNTO OMEGA, S.I.T.D. and more.

In keeping with the founding concept behind the project, all net profits from the global sales of the CD were augmented by the proceeds of local release parties in cities around the world, raising nearly $50,000 for charity.

Bruderschaft is hard at work on "Return," the band's sophomore release. The EP will feature several new tracks from multiple vocalists. Subscribe to the Myspace blog for the latest updates and news.
