BRUNO GALINDO es escritor, periodista y artista. Ha sido acreditado como uno de los revitalizadores de la poesía escénica y el spoken word en España. Ha participado en el renombrado proyecto de rock y electrónica de vanguardia “HOMENAJE A LEOPOLDO MARÍA PANERO”, dedicado al mítico poeta español. Este álbum, grabado junto a BUNBURY, CARLOS ANN y JOSÉ MARÍA PONCE, ha inspirado la película “UNA NOCHE CON PANERO”, que captura la actuación de todos ellos con el poeta. Junto al creador electrónico español STRAND ha escrito y representado “NUSHU”, un recital de spoken word y espectáculo visual que remite al desaparecido idioma chino. También ha representado en multiples ocastiones “ELECTROSPOKEN”, heterodoxa experiencia como ‘textjockey’ (DJ de palabras).
En los últimos meses ha colaborado con NACHO VEGAS y JAVIER CORCOBADO (“COSAS QUE PREFERIRÍAS NO ESCUCHAR”), con CARLOS ANN y MARIONA AUPÍ (“DISCO 2008”), con el carismático artista mexicano REY TRUENO Y SU ORQUESTA (“EL REGRESO DEL PÁJARO ESTOICO”), con la leyenda del tropicalismo brasileño TOM ZÉ (con quien aparecerá en la película “TOM ZÉ, ASTRONAUTA LIBERADO”), con el pianista y experimentador XAVIER LOSADA (“AMBULANCIA ESTRELLADA”), con el artista silencioso TRES (“EN EL MATADERO”) y el laureado guitarrista -Jeff Buckley, Captain Beefheart, etc- GARY LUCAS ("BLACK PAINTINGS").
En los últimos años ha aparecido en escenarios en España y América con diferentes músicos, escritores, artistas plásticos y de performance para recitar sus textos en recitales de alta intensidad. En los últimos años ha teloneado y compartido convocatorias musicales y literarias con Blixa Bargeld, Julian Cope, Arto Lindsay, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Amiri Baraka, John Giorno, Dennis Rollins o Hanif Kureishi. Ha actuado en Palabra y Música, Experimentaclub, Cosmopoética, La Noche en Blanco, Kosmópolis, Sónar, FIB, Festimad, Hay Festival en Deià, FIL-Guadalajara, Rock en Ñ, Feria del Libro de Caracas, Territorios, WOMAD, La Mar de Músicas, Territorio Eléctrico y Poesía En Voz Alta (DF) entre otras.
Su bibliografía comprende su original trabajo afropoético “AFRICA EQUILÁTERA” (“LUNAS HIENAS”, “AFRICA PARA SOCIEDADES SECRETAS” (Premio Rafael Pérez Estrada) y “DUNA 45”). La trilogía captura un extraño e intenso viaje africano de tres años en el que recorrió físicamente un triángulo equilátero exacto. Su libro “VASOS COMUNICANTES” recopila 510 páginas de conversación acerca del proceso de composición con músicos de la talla de Prince, John Lee Hooker, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Perry Farrell, Angelo Badalamenti, Howie B, Arnaldo D. Baptista (Os Mutantes), David Byrne, Iggy Pop, Björk, Michael Franti, Curtis Mayfield, Trilok Gurtu, Khaled, Bill Laswell, Sex Pistols, Ali Farka Toure o Bono, por nombrar unos pocos. Su trabajo de 2007, “DIARIOS DE COREA” (Debate/Random House) narra su aterradora experiencia en Corea del Norte y sus viajes por la península asiática (que cierran un ciclo de reportajes periodísticos en territorios de conflicto como Irak, Palestina, Sáhara...). Historias cortas, cuentos, entrevistas y otros textos suyos han sido recogidos en libros colectivos como “CIUDADAN@S DE BABEL” y en revistas como Eñe o la prestigiosa Granta.
Fuera de estos trabajos, ha comisariado recientemente la exposición internacional y convocatoria abierta en internet CULTURAS2008, donde ha reunido piezas de Brian Eno, DJ Spooky, Talvin Singh, Yan Jun, Sierra Leone’s Refugee AllStars, Nortec Collective, Kevin Johansen y Arnaldo Antunes. También ha desarrollado un trabajo periodístico en El País (donde ha trabajado en el área de música y coordinado suplementos), Rolling Stone, Inrockuptibles, Cultura(s) de La Vanguardia, Metropoli, LaDinamo, Efe Eme, Club Cultura, Vogue, GQ, Rock de Lux, Matador, YoDona, Cáñamo, Zona de Obras, etc.
Vive en Madrid y viaja con frecuencia a Berlín y México.

BRUNO GALINDO is a spanish writer, journalist and artist. Recognised as one of the most original and eclectic poets of his generation, he has been credited for revitalizing the spoken word scene in spanish, a sphere where he’s considered one of the most innovative artists. He took part in the acclaimed avant-garde rock & electronica tribute album “LEOPOLDO MARÍA PANERO”, devoted to the legendary schyzo-beatnik spanish poet. That album, recorded together with best selling spanish rock star BUNBURY, rock icon CARLOS ANN and spanish erotic cinema pioneer JOSÉ MARÍA PONCE, inspired the cult movie “UNA NOCHE CON PANERO”, which captures their performance together with the poet. Together with spanish electronica musician STRAND wrote and performed “NUSHU”, a spoken word concert and visual show related to that recently disappeared Chinese language. Sometimes he takes the stage for the unconventional ‘textjockey’ experience -djing words- “ELECTROSPOKEN”.

In the last few years Bruno Galindo had appeared in Spanish and Latin American scenarios with different musicians, writers, plastic and performance artists to recite his poetry in a high intense and unorthodox acting. In the last few years he opened and/or shared bill with Blixa Bargeld, Julian Cope, Arto Lindsay, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Amiri Baraka, John Giorno, Dennis Rollins and Hanif Kureishi in musical and literary festivals. He played in Palabra y Música, Experimentaclub, Cosmopoética, La Noche en Blanco, Kosmópolis, Sónar, FIB, Festimad, Hay Festival at Deià, FIL, Rock en Ñ, Book Fair at Guadalajara-México, Book Fair at Caracas, Territorios, WOMAD, La Mar de Músicas, Territorio Eléctrico and Poesía En Voz Alta among others.

Besides his stage/studio appearances, he recently curated the international exhibition held through internet from Spain CULTURAS2008, where he put together the talents of by Brian Eno, DJ Spooky, Talvin Singh, Yan Jun, Sierra Leone’s Refugee AllStars, Nortec Collective, Kevin Johansen and Arnaldo Antunes. He has also developed a work as journalist in El País (where he has worked as Music Editor), Rolling Stone, Inrockuptibles, Cultura(s) de La Vanguardia, Metropoli, LaDinamo, Efe Eme, Club Cultura, Vogue, GQ, Rock de Lux, Matador, YoDona, Cáñamo, Zona de Obras, etc.
He lives in Madrid, and frequently travels to Berlin and México.
