About me: We are a cooking team out of corpus christi.
Our team consists of four team members and four bean queens.
This will be our second year of competition cooking.
Our first year went really well and we placed in all but one.
We started doing this after we went to go support a friend at a cooking competition Richard from "Game Over Cookers".
We enjoyed it so much that we teamed up with Richard and eventually went on our own.
The first competition we went to with Richard as " Brush Country Smokers" was at the Kleberg Kenedy County Jr. Livestock Show and we ended up as grand champions.
I have always cooked for parties and friends who asked me to cook for them, but never thought that I was going to end up building my own BBQ pit and competing.
I am now a member of IBCA (International Barbeque Cookers Association) and I also enter nonsanction cook-offs.
I also have been training to be a head judge for IBCA I will complete my final cookoff pretty soon and I will become a head judge and will be out running some of these cook-offs in the future when I am not competing.
