If Bryan Kelly isn't a familiar name or face to you, just wait. The twenty-five year old is quickly climbing the ranks as one of Connecticut's most sought after drummers currently playing with the likes of RANE, the Brian Jarvis Band, the Dave Cain Trio, the Bill Carleton Band, MOLLER, Lori Amey, and Anna Brewer, just to name a few. Bryan began studying the fundamentals of snare drum and drumset with NYC session veteran Eric Wagner at the age of ten. Throughout the years he has continued his snare drum studies with DCI veterans Andy Smith and Brian Tinkle while taking his drumset work to the next level with gurus Steve Wilkes and Casey Scheurrel. Bryan's style and sound is unmistakable, yet fits every genre like a glove. He locks it in like Tony Thompson, grooves like Manu Katche, swings like Jeff Hamilton, and explodes like Keith Moon. If you're interested in seeing a show peruse through Bryan's calendar above, or check out the Main Pub's Acoustic Night on Main Street in Manchester, CT every Wednesday. Want to record some drums, but don't have a drummer? Bryan Kelly is available on a limited basis for studio drumming. Send email to bkelly63@sbcglobal.net.
Dude... small world.. my Dad is in Hartford this week on business and ended up meeting with Dave Brunette today. My dad mentioned that his son used to live up there and play in a band called the Brian Jarvis Band and Dave was like, "I know their drummer really well, I was like his second father growing up." I remember driving out to that little joint to see you play in his trio that one night. Pretty cool.
Let them know they turned out well...I just haven't had an opportunity to sort through them. I'll try to get some to you, so you can pass them along. =) I'll need your real email again though...not sure what I did with it....
dude you have to be kidding me. i just went to the shaank teight site. i heard they are tearing up the euro charts......pabst blue ribbon on the shaank tieght express.
Bryan, I just wanted to say ‘hi’ and let you know that my first single, “Hold On,” is now available on iTunes! Feel free to preview the song on iTunes by clicking on the head banner on my profile page. Let me know how you are doing when you get a chance. Have a great day!
I would consult myself or Eric on any future car purchases, nothing newer than 5 years, nothing older than 8, there is never a reason to lose money when owning a car, view it like an escrow acct like you would when owning a house; more importantly keep beating the drums, become famous, make mad money, buy Eric a GNX for his birthday to repay him for his investment in that drum set he bought you back in the day, maybe a pair of old school Jordanians will suffice for the present time
I hope you’re having a great day! Check out my new studio recording of ‘Hold On’ in my music player if you get a chance. It is great having you as a friend.
Hi Brian Thanks for the add. Your comment about the new pix at Seeing Spots was half right. Donna does look hot! I guess that means you should have ONE eye checked, but I can't tell you which one. See you at the Pub. Keep on Rockin'----- Wes
Hey! How's my adopted son? I was pissed off that you didn't get Hartford Advocate Best Drummer. But forget about it. I didn't get best guitarist when I was in my prime in the 70's. Was that sour grapes? Could be. Stay In Tune!! dB
in response to your question about billy's famous line... we had just had those famous hot dogs loaded with mayo and avocado and on the ride home it was hitting him hard... he had us all rolling and the funniest part was the cabbie couldn't even help from laughing... i'm planning on visiting a bud of mine in the city probably the beginning of august, ill be in touch
AWAKEN - Well, maybe after I get some rest this weekend at least. I don't think that's what they mean Tigger - LOL. Have a great and relaxing weekend! John & Tigger
Wow! Good luck brotha! You're a great player and I know you'll be a smash hit on the scene! What brought all this about? What are you going to do when you're there?
