Bryce Wilson landed his first break when he attracted the attention of UK mix engineer/producer Paul Gomersall. Over the previous two decades Gomersall had engineered or mixed for the likes of George Michael, Kate Bush, Phil Collins, Paul Weller and Blur (to name a few) and was now dividing his time between work in the UK and his new home at Byron Bay.
So began a lengthy process of writing, arranging, recording and mixing under Gomersall’s guidance - with sessions at Studios 301 Byron Bay, and Velvetsound, Sydney.
Prior to finishing the album work was completed on a music clip for the album’s lead track "Love Doesn’t Stand a Chance". Within weeks of its preview to industry, the track was picked up by 100 radio and other music programmers across Australia, and MTV’s VH1 hailed the ‘articulate.. 80’s vibe track and clip’ as ‘the best of the best’ new international releases. The clip is directed by 2007 Academy Awards Nominee (Best Live Action Short) Peter Templeman.
Bryce's tracks have featured on Germany's international television service Deutche Welle, and in 2009 "Conviction" landed a rave review from BBC6's Tom Robinson, who profiled the track on his weekly "BBC Introducing" weekly radio show.
The Album was first released commerically in Australia and New Zealand via MGM Distribution and all of Bryce's tracks are available for download via

They are available for online purchase as a two-track CD single direct from Bryce's label (only $3 plus postage, click on the "Buy now" button above to place your order), or for download from iTunes for whatever Apple charges.
2008 UK SONGWRITING CONTEST:
From a field of over 6200 entries, "My Muse" plus three more of Bryce's songs were awarded Semi Finalist status by the judges in the Adult Contemporary category. This followed upon Bryce's success in the 2007 competition, when all seven of his entries reached the Semi Finals in the Pop category.

Yeah, right? Sleestaks made messed up sounds! Insectoid Darth Vader perverted asthmatic breathing, which got more intense when they got riled up. I recall as a kid thinking the family on the show were incredibly dull-witted if they couldn't outrun those things. They coulda run circles around them, messed with them, and tip them over like the bikers did the zombies in Dawn of the Dead. Real teenagers would, right? Dad would be telling the kids, "come on, Will and Holly. Quit messing with the poor Sleestaks."
Thanks for the Krofty conversation and the GREAT music.
'My Muse' is a corker, as I've told you - and the performance is excellent too - it shows off your vocal technique. 'You're only a girl' - ha! It wouldn't be you without a line like that would it? Anyway it's a great track, and a great lyrical sentiment too. Nice piano work too.
Thank you for your most kind comments. Wish I was in the pool with you there, bloody awful up here. Your music is slick and polished, great hooks, well performed and very original yet pleasantly familiar. Perhaps due to your many influences you have listed, many of them our faves as well. A pleasure to meet you. Respect... Billy and Mark The Ormidales
