   About Bubblegum Lemonade
Bubblegum Lemonade formed in Glasgow as a vehicle for the indie pop recordings of Lawrence "Laz" McCluskey. Deriving the project's name from the title of a Mama Cass album, McCluskey's project is rooted in bubblegum pop and jangly groups like Talulah Gosh and Primal Scream.

Bubblegum Lemonade's debut EP, was released on Matinée Recordings in early 2008; a second EP, Susan's in the Sky, followed in the summer of that year. Their debut album, Doubleplusgood, was released in November 2008.

Allmusic Biography by Margaret Reges.

BUBBLEGUM LEMONADE - DOUBLEPLUSGOOD

“A perfect Rickenbacker-flavoured pop album for the 21st century.” —Pennyblack Magazine

“Every song on this album is great.” —The Soundtrack of My Life

“It's a study in the pop rush with hooks and pop goodness washing over you like a California coastal break.” —The Finest Kiss

“Carefully crafted bubblegum pop.” —Russell’s Reviews

“Doubleplusgood is devastatingly effective and is worthy of your hard earned pennies.” —indie-mp3.co.uk

“I keep banging on about the quality of music emanating from Glasgow, and this is a prime example.” —Loud Horizon Music

“Like a dayglo Jesus and Mary Chain sans feedback covering The Byrds … as cute as a kettle full of kittens and as poppy as a needle in a balloon factory.” —The Devil Has The Best Tuna

"For those who have been following their output, Bubblegum Lemonade are the perfect missing link between the lackadaisical surf / noise-pop of Jesus And Mary Chain and Razorcuts-ish janglepop." — Chris, IndiePages

“1960's inspired jangly melodic indie-pop …yummy yummy yummy.” —Some Velvet Blog

Hej Laz!

Life is pretty good right now - we are going to Hamburg tomorrow (you probably know about the POP-festival?)! :)

My picture is taken by Martin when we took a ride with a ferry on Loch Lommond (on our first visit to Scotland). It was a really beutiful scenery surrounding that loch! Ah well, you've probably been there too, since it's not so far from Glasgow...

No, I did not now that about Andy and Lou! I really like Little Britain... especially Andy and the Scottish man in the castle with the flute!

Have a nice weekend and say hi to Sandra and the kids from me and Martin!
